Bakole has some decent attributes but needs to improve his conditioning and work harder, not to mention use his brain... The commentator said in round 9 he was going to walk into a right hand...and he did... Hunter was a tricky opponent but gets beaten by Joyce...let alone top class heavyweights. Hope he can come back and doesn’t just become a sparring partner...
First time in stepping up as a pro and he got lit up. Hunter fought well, he's got a good career ahead but he needs to step down to cruiserweight, as for Bakole he's awful.
Billy Elson totally exaggeratedbakols abilities on here and prob elsewhere. From the little I saw on film of bakole I didn't buy it and I said so on here. How could Billy not see that the guy didn't have even such rudimentary fundamentals as being physically fit FFS. ..
It's promotion too don't forget bud, especially when trying to get a fan base together just a few hundred fans extra can make all the difference to a promoter taking u on. An unknown boxer can have all the ability in the world but of he doesn't bring in any business then he is almost worthless sadly
It's who came to mind for me instantly too... Just waiting on his nemesis tibbs to challenge him.........
I joined here just as it all started. Think they actually had a coming together?! Think it was another site that two posters on their site had a straightener in chelmsford and police were using the forum for info?! Someone else might be able to tell u better
I remember about 7/8 months ago the other forum had to be closed for a cpl of days pending an investigation. Unless I got it totally wrong?!
Bakole looked totally unprepared in dealing with a smaller man. Had no answer on the inside either. Hunter is a good fighter and it was a huge step up from what Bakole is used to, so I'm not writing him off. But he should have gone through the ranks better. Billy was trying to get fights with WHyte and Povetkin prior to this which on reflection would have been an absolute disaster. There is still talent there in my eyes, though not to the hyperbolic levels that Billy suggested there was. He looked bullied in there and that can often happen when you jump up levels too quickly. Suddenly guys are hitting back and you aren't used to it. When I saw Hunter able to push Bakole back against the ropes at will and work on the inside, I knew the fight was basically done. I thought the weight difference would come into play - and it should have - but Bakole just didn't know how to use that advantage. I'm not sure if that's down to the fighter or the coach at this stage.
