It’s been a LONG time since American boxing fans were pitted against each other The latest US based rivalries were: May Pac- Asian vs American Ggg Canelo- EurAsian vs Mexican Ward Kov- American vs Russian Even AJ Wilder is UK vs US And now we finally have a big US rivalry Both American Both prime Both undefeated May the fans start clobbering each other with insults and barbs !
Speaking as a New Yorker, most Americans don't care where the fighter's are from (unless you're from that guy's state.) Boxing is not a popular sport in my country at all, so most people don't even know who either of these men are. I just want to see it because it pits two P4P fighters against each other who are both undefeated and in their primes. I couldn't care less if they were from Pyongyang or Manhattan.
As a UK fan this would be one of the few fights I'd get up at 4am for. I have Crawford winning a decision but not confident at all.
Im more excited for when the fighters themselves get stuck in to all that. Ive gotta say something deep in my gut is telling me to not get too excited about this one happening any time soon. For all the good rivalries between American Boxers over the years there have been so many that never happened when they really should of happened, or at all. This just feels like one of those.
From what I've heard bud says he wants it BUT he leaves that up to top rank and spence is talkin that "other side of street" ******ed mess. All in all, probably not happening for a long time if at all.
LOL, doesn't really happen that much unless there is some racial aspect. Unless it is two New Mexicans. I am from Albuquerque and they were supposed to hold Tapia-Romero in Albuquerque, but the mayor said, "No Way!" he knew how many arrests there were going to be. So they took the fight to Vegas.
