If this happened I would hope Mayweather fans turn on Mayweather. He can't be allowed to do that again, the McGregor fight was embarrassing for boxing, it was a joke fight. The only way I would encourage this "fight" is is Mayweather grew some nuts and had the fight in an octagon under UFC rules. Then Mayweather gets paid, respect, attention and ultimately killed.

The Mcgregor fight sold because Conor is/was a media sensation. Where is Khabib a sensation? Kyrgyzstan? Not happening.
Unless he's planning on running for President, Floyd's got more than enough money. He doesn't need a glorified exho vs Pacquaio or Khabib.
They are doing this for the money. This isn't for legacy. Floyd knows no one in boxing cares that he beat Conor. Since it's for money, and Floyd is generating an insane an amount for the other fighter, he isn't about to go to their sport. I get it. Either way, it's a joke. We know the outcome of Floyd going to MMA and fighting a top fighter, and the outcome of an MMA guy coming to boxing and doing the same.
Floyd burns through that money like nothing. Maybe he's made investments that generate money for him indefinitely and that's what he spends. Most boxers aren't that smart though.
Kabib doesn't sell tickets like Conor and doesn't have the gift of gab either. Doubt the pre-fight stuff would be anything close to the Conor-Floyd nonsense. Floyd would have to do all the work and would expect to be paid accordingly. Maybe 90-10, take it or leave it Kabib
