    Bingo

It becomes a much easier sell to those who doubted if the platform was legitimate.

Yeah possibly. I still reckon they were bidding for the broadcasting rights and put the tweet up in hope too.

Tbf to Boxnation, Rawling and Jones always talk about Matchroom fighters in good light during broadcasts. Bunce too. There really is no agenda there.

If confirmed, this is huge. I was planning on signing up for DAZN next month anyway. This just makes it a no brainer.

I don't see how Canelo can make as much $$$ this way, though.

Or they are just adding more content to the platform like any platform should do.

I’ve always predicted that DAZN will end up doing what all other boxing broadcasters do and put their marquee fights on PPV. Unless they are throwing a blanket check with no regard for profit making I too can’t see how this would be profitable for Canelo.

Yeah, it's just an advertising trick, it's been done before with football matches certain channels are showing, they will tweet "HUGE MONTH OF FOOTBALL" (speaking generally) and list matches..

And the biggest match isn't on their channel, but they can't really be pulled because are just saying "Huge month of football".

Clever in a way, people scroll though and think the game/fight is on the channel tweeting the information.

Your brain is just trained that way because why else would a channel be advertising a fight? Why would they promote a rivals fighter or big match? Unless they were showing it.

    So you don't question it.

It just shows an understanding on how to advertise on twitter and social media, a cheap way to maybe get a handful of subscribers.

To be honest a little bit desperate but they may well be desperate.

I'll likely sign up. I do want to see the details of their agreement. It may be for a single fight, or his non-May and Sept. fights.

Yeah, but wasn't DAZN suppose to fail?

And OK, if you believe Hearn is a pimple then the likes of FW do not even exist, Hearn is still the biggest Promoter in the UK, Europe and maybe the world.

Hmmm Not bad for a pimple.

I love it how some are trying to turn this into a bad deal for Eddie Hearn and Matchroom

As far as we know Hearn might not even be involved in this deal. Hoya previously said he was not interested in co-promoting with Hearn...

It’s like if Khabib left UFC and signed a direct deal with BT and people started praising Warren for it

    Relax.

No it would be like Canelo signing with BT and then people saying it was bad news for Warren.

Say AJ would have left matchroom and gone with AJ promotions and signed a deal wit BT. That would in no way be bad news for Warren.

Which would be a valid argument since he would overshadow Warren’s entire roster.

Hearn is the chief of boxing department for DAZN with exclusive rights. While Canelo won't be signed directly to Matchroom, Eddie Hearn is still involved in the deal, the same way he is with the WBSS.

You will still see Eddie Hearn present in Canelo's next fights.
