But a successful BT sports is good for Warren. That's the point. The platform growing is good for everyone involved.

Not necessarily. If Canelo would then get 5m views for his cards as opposed to 500k views for Warren’s cards, BT would likely then re-visit their commercial relationship with Warren.

Your trying to hard dude. Can we just not agree this is great news for DAZN and any fighter that fights on the platform regardless of their promoter.

It doesn't say Matchroom that I saw. It said DAZN. Thought Oscar said he wasn't allowing any CoPromotion.

Directly or not, this is definitely bringing more leverage to Hearn in the future.

It's going to be interesting what happens next in the Hearn vs PBC standoff. It could be that some fighters might start moving to DAZN. Tank Davis has already been demanding a move to Hearn with his #FreeTank Twitter antics.

Apart from my obviously tongue in cheek jokes in this thread, my view is wait and see until we are told about Hearn’s involvement and the extent of the deal. If Hearn has helped broker the deal then I’ll give him props but I maintain that DAZN signing non-Matchroom boxers does not necessarily mean good news for Matchroom, for the reason I stated in my above post.

What he means is DAZN gave Hearn 32 dates and a huge contract so in essence the majority of there boxing content is still driven by matchroom USA

That’s what I’d expect judging from Hoya’s previous statements about not wanting to co-promote.

Eddie did IFL interview on Saturday night and he did say @ the end that DAZN would be announcing a very big signing this week.

So either Eddie was well in the loop and knew what was happening or there is another big name on the way.

I am going with Eddie was all in on canelo.

If you go back and listen to Eddie's interviews since the DAZN deal he has always said he is very open to other non matchroom fighters being broadcast on DAZN. The DAZN deal was never announced as matchroom exclusive.

It's great for the platform. Nobody is losing out here.

I can see GGG promotional team going to DAZN next

I wouldn't be surprised if showtime offered Golden Boy a deal for Canelo but were not prepared to take on other Golden Boy dates.

DAZN would have kept Eddie in the loop as his dates need to work around the other content on the platform. Whether that is bellator or Canelo/GBP dates.

The idea the Canelo deal would be done without any input from Hearn is absurd. Bellator would be in on it as well.

All parties would want the platform to succed
