DAZN took the opposite approach to your ignorant suggestions. Ergo, you were wrong. I would say there's no shame in it, but you were SOOOOOOO off-base it's hilarious.
Goldenboy is the biggest boxing promotion they've signed so far, especially in the US. Canelo is the biggest sports star theyt've signed so far, especially in the US. Both are locked in for 5 years, making it the longest boxing deal they've signed so far too. If you really claim you don't see how that will "help the platform", your surname must be Hearn.
It's because the money spent getting Canelo may not even match the extra money Canelo brings in. Unless they make more money back then it isn't actually a good fit. I just don't see how they can make the money back without PPV.
Ive never spoke to Eddie Hearn or anybody at DAZN to suggest any way of getting Canelo on side. Also i never suggested anything on here either, i just said it wont be the end of DAZN like you tried to imply if they didnt sign Canelo but it would be good if they did, and im sure its costing them alot of money. So what the hell you going on about? Maybe you can post up what it ive said that was soooooooooo off base that its hilarious. Or will you just go quiet on that now somebody is demanding some truth or facts like you usually do?
Dont bother Davo ive done it for you cuz i know you wouldnt cuz facts to you are like garlic to vampires. This is the only thing even remotely close to some suggestions that ive posted on this thread, and ive never discussed Canelo signing for DAZN on any other thread. So please can you break down where im so far off the mark with my suggestions that it is hilarious?
- Golden boy events - Matchroom Uk events - Matchroom US events - WBS events - plus K2 fighter Usyk signed up to mutifight deal as is Beterbiev. - All for reasonable monthy price Looks like the future of boxing viewing in North America is DAZN.
It will. I broke it down earlier in the thread. Canelo is money in the bank, but even if you think they lose money on him, he massively improves their brand and makes them far more legitimate to the US public. The marketing bonus they will get from being associated with Canelo is extremely valuable.
What are you on about? Read your own posts in this thread. You were 100% wrong. It's not something you can wriggle out of. It's all there in black and white.
One of many 100% off base and completely incorrect posts you've made on the subject. You should be ashamed of yourself, not trying to spin it. LOL. Luckily DAZN are much smarter and business savvy than you are
You may as well take out Matchroom US for now. It's added nothing so far and driven ZERO new subscriptions.
HAHAHAHAHAHA... you do realise some of us have lives beyond the internet right?!?!? You've really shown yourself up here lad. Sucks to be you!!!!!!
Canelo has to net them more than 73 million a year. For the platform itself one person gets them around 100 a year so from their subscription. Meaning Canelo has to bring in 730,000 year long subscriptions consistently for 5 years. For 2 fights a year. I just don't see it working out, but the people putting money into this have way more knowledge on this than I do. I'm guessing they're banking on the live gate and **** because that is the only way this works out lmao.
That's why DAZN are now a major player in US boxing and you are not. If you don't think Canelo is worth $73mn+ per year, you haven't been paying attention. When Showtime signed Floyd for $200mn you probably thought it was a bad idea too.
Showtime did PPV. They weren't just a subscription service for $10 lol. I just don't see how the math adds up based on the information we have right now.
