Joshua has no SKILL and has an average chin-Mark Breland

Robberies my azz AJ was far less experienced & fought well vs some great & very accomplished amateurs

 

AJ`s chin is better than Haye`s was because he was stopped by Thompson, so there is no way he would have taken the shots AJ took from Povetkin.

 

The Top heavyweights now are better than Bruno was.

 

Joshua isn't as skilled as Bruno was. But, Joshua is only 22 fights into his career. As long as he keeps improving he certainly does have the potential match Bruno's skill and even surpass him one day, but he hasn't done it yet.

Bruno had a better jab and got better leverage on his punches than Joshua does. Bruno also was better at clinching and moved around the ring more efficiently.

Joshua does have a better check hook than Bruno and he follows corner instructions much better than Bruno, but at the same time Joshua's competition is much weaker than Bruno's.

I'm not sure. I grew up in the Bruno era and followed his career closely. I feel AJ is more of a natural fighter than Bruno ever was and has more instincts and devil in him. Whilst Bruno had a better jab there are things that AJ does already that Bruno never had in his locker.

For example, AJ is a much better inside fighter than Bruno was and has combinations that Frank could only dream of. I didn't see Frank ever throwing that short right hand that AJ did against Povetkin - almost a Joe Louis type fast right hand that buckled his man. AJ's instincts when hurt are far better than Bruno's. When Frank got tagged he had no ability to cover up and ride out the storm which is what AJ has already had to do in several fights already. Big Frank never controlled a fight in the manner that AJ controlled Parker, even if he was being a bit over cautious.

If they fought in their primes AJ would stop Bruno, I have no doubt about that. And that's coming from a massive childhood Bruno fan.

 

I’m not an AJ fan and I think that is rediculous. He’s a skilled boxer and getting better each fight, very underrated counterpuncher.

His shortcomings appear to me are that he’s too stiff and mechanical and has a tendency to run out of gas at times…that also appears to be lessening as he’s progressed, become more relaxed and has learned to pace himself…His chin looks to me to be directly effected by said shortcomings which he’s addressing, it doesn’t look to be an Achilles heel.

The Bruno comparisons are natural, they look similar and throw punches with similar movement. They’re different fighters for sure though, each with different advantages…Bruno’s tendency to gas out late was his Achilles heel…

 

So the former world champion with one of the best pedigree's and skill sets around is wrong, but you are right? Hmmmmm.... I think I'll listen to Breland and my own two eyes on this one.

People need to stop disrespecting Bruno by mentioning him in the same breath as AJ. Bruno was considerably more talented than AJ and would knock him clean out. The fighters that beat Bruno would all completely obliterate AJ. AJ's best wins would be easy nights for Bruno.

Relax.

 

Bruno was a joke compared to Joshua.

The guy was a notorious rabbit puncher and clincher whenever he faced a decent opponent

Joshua has addressed his stamina issues since the Klitschko fight. Parker and Povetkin both gassed more than Joshua did in their fights.

Joshua has the best inside skills for a super heavyweight since Bowe and Lewis.

 

Joshua has already far exceeded Bruno's achievements and anyone can see he is a more complete fighter, with a much better chin and defence, faster hands, better technique. Big Frank did have a great jab and massive power, but folded under pressure, which so far Joshua hasn't.

 

What exactly makes people think Joshua is so much better than Bruno? Look at the way he was getting hit against Povetkin do any of you really think he would do better against Mike Tyson than Bruno did.

Look who Bruno lost to Tyson x2, Lewis, Witherspoon, Smith. That was it in a 45 fight career, 5 losses he also won 38 by KO I think. Don’t forget Bruno only had about 8 amateurs. So he arguably only lost to Lewis and Tyson in his prime who both would have beaten Joshua in my opinion.

We will wait and see what Joshua’s record looks like after 45 fights if he ever has that many. He’s a good fighter but didn’t deserve to win the Olympics in my opinion and he hasn’t proved that he’s better than Bruno was yet.

People are underrating Bruno and overrating Joshua.

 

Folded under pressure from who Mike Tyson? Watch the Povetkin vs Joshua fight if you think Joshua would have done any better. He gave Lewis a good fight and I’m not undermining Smith or Witherspoon’s wins but Bruno was still arguably Green then. He had a short amateur career and most of his early pro fights didn’t last long. Joshua has been lucky that he had an easier route and his career was managed better.

 

he’s nowhere near as bad as the haters make out either. He’s probably somewhere in between.

 

I'm a huge Bruno fan think he's underrated but he's not on AJ's level. He has a better jab, hit as hard as AJ but Joshua has far exceeded Bruno as a boxer.

AJ is faster, more fluid, he's a better counter puncher and combination puncher, he has far better instincts and is far superior on the inside.

As for Breland he clearly has a vested interest in down playing Joshua as a fighter. They are trying to claim Wilder/Fury is to see who's number 1, when we all know they are competing for the number 2 spot, they can't just ignore AJ no matter how much they'd like too.

 

We will see how good Joshua’s career goes once this upcoming group of heavyweights hit their primes and he has to fight all of them.

Have you ever actually watched Bruno? Because I feel he was faster and a better combo puncher. Jab is close. Chin close.

As for counter puncher I don’t think either are really counter punchers.
