Canelo's deal per ESPN 11 fights over 5 years and 365 million dollars

There was an interview Hearn did a couple weeks back and he was saying DAZN are telling him to spend the money and just pay what these fighters what they want but its more him not wanting to overspend by silly amounts to get fighters.

Clearly there is still money in the bank to get more fighters.

This Canelo signing again shows just how important hispanic fans are to boxing. DAZN clearly believes in there buying power.

 

That's old school talk. Even I know those are hipster hats....all the Millennials wear then when their man buns are not looking good on any particular day. Or if they are bald. One or the other.

I wonder if Golden Boy was in talks with them way before the GGG fight. Given these type of deals, they take months to negotiate and it's dependent on a fighter winning a specific fight.

It should surprise no one that GGG didn't get a decision despite wining the majority of the rounds. There was too much in play to let an old fighter get a win that he deserves.

I think Benson jumping the gun. Sure hearn meant any fight vs Canelo or AJ has to be on DAZN not the fighters must sign with the network.

 

They would have still signed Canelo even if he lost.

 

365 million, say over 5 years, two fights a year, maximum 36 minutes at a time. No one in the NFL or NBA can top that.

 

Their is a way to destroy Sky, taking away the Preimer League from them. However it will take a company willing to spend 5 Billion Upwards for it.

Sky now owned by Comcast is a powerhouse.
