Plechko is either hype or a Rocky Marciano type. I think he can punch. Being smaller with average skills, he's going to need top condition, a chin, and the heart /will to get in the top ten as he is not out point the best super heavyweight with skills...he will need to knock them out.

I think Zhang is a B type of prospect, but he is big and semi skilled so sparring success here means something.

Plechko can punch but with awful technique and zero defense. He's going to suffer the same treatment Kean did relatively soon.

Kean was stopped at least twice in the amateurs. I don't know how durable Plechko is, but he's going to need to be.

@Mendoza Why do you consider Zhang as a prospect at the age of 35? :D

He does leave himself wide open but he’s fast and his arms are ridiculously long which probably makes his punches pretty hard to avoid. I think he’ll probably come apart as soon as he fights someone who gives him a bit of movement and can counter but who knows. Also seriously doubt he can keep up that pace after a round or two.

Fury misjudged Ustinov too, with that fight being one of his most shameless ducks.

Well he won bronze or silver at major amateur tournaments ( Olympics and world amateur championships ), and is 20-0 with 16 KO’s as a professional. He’s older, but still a prospect.

I don’t think he’s among the 10 best prospect out there.

This whole chinese HW scene is so fishy. They fight in schools and there are tables next to the ringside...

He hasn't stepped against a contender or title shot. Until he does I consider him to still be in development. I suppose once he fights Ustinov he can graduate.
