Every time when Wilder hurts his opponent visibly, he let all his defense go and let the windmills fly to finish them off. What if Fury decides to be 'fake' wobbled and land a huge counter punch on the chin of Wilder? Will he become the new WBC champion if he uses this strategy? Discuss.
I dont think Furys game plan is going to be to try to invite Wilder to come at him with his biggest bombs. I think he is going to do the opposite and do all he can to make Wilder wary of doing exactly that, im sure he sees a points win a better idea than to go looking to KO Wilder. But then its Fury and its not out of the realms of reality that Fury can knock Wilder out. It never is in this division.
Exactly. You want to get the power puncher not to throw bombs due to fear. It’s amazing what feinting constantly does psychologically to someone, you switch to fear mode and you don’t want to engage, even though throwing hands is your best defense in reality most of the time.
I think you're going to see very dirty Fury in this fight. People forget that he was known to bend the rules when it suited in. He smashed Cunningham with his forearm then held him with one hand why he smacked him with the other. I expect more of the same and a lot of people complaining about a controversial win afterwards.
No because the follow up will be so wild and ferocious that he risks getting clipped for real. Especially if he himself is trying catch Wilder as welly. you don't want to play possum with a puncher like that.
he also wore cunningham down by laying all his weight on him in the clinches. fury clinched at a second to none rate that fight, then made the ref physically pull him off of Cunningham. he was getting a boxing lesson every round, only reprieve was excessive clinching that dwarfed that of Ali, Wlad, or John Ruiz.
Fury will win by making it the sh!ttiest fight the world has ever seen. I don't blame him for that, a win is a win, and it still requires a certain skill set to do that. He isn't knocking Wilder out...period.
Oh, he's talking about playing opossum. I thought this thread was about Wilder windmilling sloppy punches, hitting Fury foul, and then Fury malingering to get the DQ victory.
