That's rough, his dad was supposed to fly out Saturday (the day he passed).

 

From what I've seen he would get obliterated. I doubt anything he could do anything to change my perception tonight, since this is a gross mismatch. If he steps up to better opposition and puts in some good performances showing improvements and recapturing some of the potential from his amateur days, then my opinion might be subject to change.

I mean, we are talking about Lemieux here, not exactly the hardest puzzle to solve in all of boxing.

 

Yeah, I think everybody in the casino and watching on TV just became a Gómez fan if they weren't already.

There is no excuse for Quigley to not stop El Riel tonight, I mean he does have ten rounds to get rid of a much smaller and older man who isn't exactly known for his defense and he's supposed to be this hard-hitting prospect with a strong amateur pedigree.

If this goes the distance he's officially the biggest dud in a while. He can't afford even one more fizzle in a row, the last few outings have been stinkers.
