Like Lomachenko does? Why are they quitting? I'd even say Linares was mentally broken too 'The bull is stronger but the matador is smarter'
Actually I really don't get it... So, you got outclassed by a guy that comes along only a few times in a lifetime, big deal! We then see very talented fighters disappear for many months, or even completely leave the sport, which is their job and ticket to a financial independent life. Why?! They resently found Rigo, but guys like Martinez and Walters are still unaccounted for. These are guys that held multiple titles and were quite hard to beat. Why give up your career after been shown up once?
Good shouts, correct me if I'm wrong but there opponent's aren't going MIA tho are they? I do love Usyk 'Lacy'ing' beasts & Inoue barely breaking a sweat but we may as well file a missing persons report for Lomas recent conquests.. where are Walters, Martinez & Rigo??? Lord Lucan's house? Linares fair play has decided to move house & leave 135 too..
In fairness Rigo isn't doing anything out of the ordinary. And nobody would have been surprised if Martinez would have retired after several of the fights before Lomachenko. As for Walters, probably just living off that string of nice paydays Maidana-style. Walters is certainly surprising and disappointing.
