Have you ever driven a Volkswagen before? That's Braemher; competent, no frills, kinda fun going high speed, but breaks down all the time...and not real comfortable.
Callum Smith? Lol, are you still butthurt about Smith beating Groves? Tbh, I just can't get up for this Brant fight. What's the point of it. If he was in his 20's sure. But dude is in almost in his mid 30's.
Co-signed. He's a great technician and for a long time had the skills to cause anyone at LHW major problems. But he was comfortable fighting no hopers and European level guys in front of his German faithful and didn't really want to take any risks. Which is shame because he probably could have done some great things. At SMW he's a dark horse for sure but that's only if he wants to take risks. He definitely had a great shot at beating Smith as he's got a great jab and all around boxing game with no punch resistance issues like Groves.
I can't see it, as I doubt he ever actually beat a top 100 fighter. I still wonder why they had put him into the WBSS in the first place, which was such a huge leap in competition. Maybe just get his name out there, but he didn't look the part at all. I expect a very easy defence for Murata.
Yeah but I did ask Manfred right from the beginning in the second post of the thread if he checked out Anthony Sims Jr. yet. But yes if you thought I was talking about Rob Bryant then I understand.
Nah, this has nothing to do with Callum beating Groves, I picked Braehmer when the match was first announced. He's the far better boxer of the two, with tight defense and a granite chin. I wasn't all fire sure about the result, I thought it could go either way. And I still say that even now after Callum beat George.
I don't consider him to be a journeyman, he is only 28 and has lost only one out of 24 fights. He is a solid fighter period. I think that he can handle Murata who is basically just a come forward fighter. As for levels, Brant is on his level skill wise but maybe lack Murata's ability to take punishment.
I tend to rate fighters on a scale: All-Time Great Hall-of-Famer P4P Top 10 World Champ Contender Fringe Contender Journeyman Clubfighter Tomato Can I said journeyman with Brant, but I could go fringe contender. He's really only beaten journeyman, he faced a good world champ (but not P4P top 10) in Braehmer and got embarrassed, and he had a 12 year age advantage. The bottom line is that boxing is about levels and a Midwest journeyman is going to need the biggest punch of his life to beat an Olympic medalist who is in his prime.
Jessica McCaskill is hot!! Gave the toughest fight against Katie Taylor. I would like to see more of her.
