Quite interesting how much criticism Hearn is getting here. I don't get it. The man seems to do good things for us boxing fans.
Its very strange considering he is helping to try and bring boxing into the mainstream again. I get he can come across as brash but I think its a slight ploy on his part, he has to make noise to get people to take notice. good press and bad press has still got everyone talking about him. Personally i think behind closed doors he is close to signing some big fighters and makes these public statements to get messages directly to fighters. Charlo for instance tweeted straight awy to increase the offer. The boxers will be noticing what he is doing and is capable of, regular fights and regular paydays. He knows he needs one to jump in to the pool as he puts it and the rest follow
Yes he promotes himself more than his own fighters whilst talking as if he is the one about to fight. Great listening to a man lie through the pores of his skin and piggy back and leech off the success of others while behaving as if he's doing the world a favour. Definitely something to celebrate and appreciate.
Yet amazingly I don't see fighters all running from matchroom into the arms of other promoters despite how terrible he must be at promoting his fighters.
If Hearn needs to stop talking about Fighters where does that leave you? I mean on the one hand we have Hearn, proven money maker in the boxing world and on the other cutthroatfade, random poster on an internet forum whos only claim to fame is being Eubank Jr's personal fluffer.
Who was it that started the ball rolling? Who's mouth has been going 100 miles an hour for the last year talking about DAZN. All the work Hearn has done with DAZN has lead up to this signing. If you can't see that then you're just a hater.
Here we go another of hearns stalkers, when your mum and dad find out what you've been doing they're gonna be very angry
Root for hopefully some great bouts? Also I'd hardly call this a "punking", as per. We should just get a Hearn hate thread and be done with it.
Beating Smith would be great for Canelo's legacy and Id be amazed if he actually pulled it off. . . Daring to be great , taking on challenges , seeking out belts in multiple divisions. Thats what real ATGs looks like
Hearn is probably pretty proud of himself that Dazn signed the biggest name in boxing. After all noone had heard of Dazn until Hearn decided to start Matchroom USA.
