If he beats Fury, he's equal to Joshua in my book.

It's how the ppv numbers are that will give a good idea of his drawing power. Am i right that the US have to announce the numbers? UK it'll be at 4am and numbers wise i can see more staying up to watch it than in the US.

The tickets are overpriced and Los Angeles was a poor choice for the fight considering Fury hasn't fought a known opponent to the American public since 2015. I live in Los Angeles and a lot of people I talk to, who aren't hardcore boxing fans don't know who the heck Fury is. Vegas or New York would've been a much better venue. Also, DiBella and Warren have barely promoted the event, since alot of people I've asked about the fight even around Staples Center earlier this week weren't even a aware that a heavyweight title fight was taking place and even I wouldn't have known If I didn't frequent this forum.

Even Joshua and Wilder most likely wouldn't do good numbers in Los Angeles as well, since besides guys at the boxing gym a lot of people I talk to also haven't heard of Joshua.

Warren screwed up by having Fury fight two euro bums in UK. He should've had Fury fight Arreola and then Ruiz in the US, since people from Los Angeles, Mexico, Arizona, and Texas would've watched and would be filling up the Arena, since they would know who Fury is.

Klitschko was the champ. If Wilder beats the man who beat Klitschko he is the lineal champ.

Would of made much more sense to build Fury up vs Arreola and Ruiz but that would suggest Warren had some kind of long term plan, which he clearly didn't in regards to making the Wilder fight.

PPV is driven by casual fans, largely Latino population in the US.
Floyd, Cotto, Canelo and Manny had them.

Latinos don't care for Wilder and Fury.

OK. So becoming heavyweight lineal champion levels them up?

Yes and why would Joshua/Fury care? The UK market is bigger than the US in boxing these days.

Not necessarily. All three guys are legitimate champions. Joshua has the strongest record but they need to fight to settle this.

It should increase his stock in the Joshua fight but no he wouldn't become a bigger name than Joshua.
