Is it time we start viewing Canelo as a future ATG?

ATG are very big words.

But no doubt he's underrated by most of you. He has insane skill (not footwok, though, and that taints his boxing because it's very easy to see, but his skills are freaking insane).

I tend to agree. There was a Toney vs GGG thread and it ended up with me doing comparisons between Canelo and Toney's defences. TBH I thought Canelo was better in that aspect. Toney seemed more flashy in making guys miss but Canelo moved a little bit less for the same result and also countered as fast as lightning.

I just feel sad that these skills and talent are within a guy that I personally find obnoxious, arrogant and tainted with corruption.

 

Needs one more signature win. The dominating win against GGG for some reason is seen as a GGG win lol. Canelo walked thru him like a knife thru hot butter. Demolished GGG. He beat the **** out of GGG.

 

I'm so happy to read your words. I'm glad that someone apreciates this aspect of the game the way I do. This is what makes modern boxing modern imho. I cannot stress enough the utter importance of getting exactly the same result with less effort in modern boxing. Mayweather, canelo, gg, wlad, crawford they are masters of modern boxing. You see sugar ray leonard today and you want to tear your eyes off, it's like watching a spectrum 128k computer. I loved my amstrad (I had no spectrum, I had an amstrad) I still have it, but man, I prefer the i7 quad core with ssd that I have now.

 

Make sure that they pay you this time. Don't let Golden Boy fob you off again with some old pesos stuck together with adhesive tape and some dirty pics of Oscar in his stockings. Canelo has a total of 4 “wins” on his record that could easily have been losses. The same can’t be said for most top fighters. Every time he steps up he needs help from the judges.

 

the entire sport was based on the concept of economy of movement, the shortest path between 2 points. thats where it comes from. there have been champions from the very beginning who were praised for their economy of movement.

You idiot, where do you see the economy of movement in ali or ray leonard, not to talk about older ones like robinson?. There is no economy of movement at all. Ray leonard watching mayweather walking in the ring is like a caveman watching the freaking millennium falcon.
