Hagler ruled the MW Division almost a decade but then Leonard who didn't fight anybody for years beat him. It was so amazing.

No need to be rude, OK? I know that the fight was very close that could have gone either way. It was one of the most controversial fights in the boxing history. However, it's no use now to argue who really one it. What I would really like to talk about this mega fight are technics, skills, speed, defensive, and intelligence that Leonard used them to fight Hagler effectively.

It was the fight that Hagler' punch missed the target the most. From round 1 to final round Hagler punched the air over two hundreds times.

The Golovkin robberies were WAY more egregious and shameless.

    1) Hagler won
    2) It wasn't a huge upset because Hagler had a ton of miles on the clock and Leonard was an elite operator.

I'd say the result was a "mild upset".

    Hagler won.
    That fight was a freakshow.
All SRL had to do was stay competitive and he would get the decision. He ran. He chise the ring size. 12 rounds. Gloves. Hagler was slow and old. Just wanted the payday.

It was a massive upset because SRL had a detached retina and his career was thought to be over before he came back to fight Hagler. SRL had exactly 1 fight in over 5 years before he fought Hagler and was off for 3 years before he fought Hagler. It was a massive upset because most did not think Leonard was the same fighter he was before the time off.

Hagler took him for granted. Coming in right handed. Ray fooled him and Hagler fell for it. Ray was brilliant in and out of the ring.
