Please tell me who is better than Whyte at the moment and please don't say a very old Ortiz or a very over hyped Tyson Fury

Of course it was close. If the referee seen the headbutt and didn't score the 1st knockdown then the fight would've been a draw on the scorecards.

I highlighted the part of your post I took issue with but I will answer you anyway.

AJ, Wilder, Ortiz, Povetkin. Chisora has to be seen as being on equal footing. Possibly Miller and possibly Hughie, though it's hard to make a case for those two at present.

Pulev as well. He schooled Chisora.

True enough, although I think that Pulev has vanished slightly

He didnt school Chisora, he cheated his way to a points win with help of referee. Watcn the fight anytime Chisora went to work he would get warned, by round 4 the ref had completely nullified Chisora's attack.

Tyson Fury boxes his head off. I like Whyte a lot, he’s a wrecking ball but Fury puts him in his pocket comfortably. Styles, mate, styles.

I don't get this over hyped Tyson Fury. He has no power, a weak chin and your basing his boxing skills on 1 fight. This is all before you take into consideration his long lay off so in my opinion not even the average boxer he once was.
    As for the others
Ortiz is an old man, Povetkin would be a close fight with Whyte but I would still side with Dillan (just), Chisora would get smashed as Whyte has improved times 10, Pulev is not good enough, Miller is just a heavy lump, Hughie is not good enough.
I'm not saying Whyte is a world beater however I think he beats a bad lot excluding AJ and Wilder.

Let me dismantle this for you.

Firstly, I agree Fury isn't what he once was. That's where it ends though. Fury's chin being weak is a bit of a myth. He's been caught upright by big shots and got right back up without actually being properly hurt. Less hurt than Whyte was against Parker for sure. Fury's boxing skills are based on the Wlad fight and beating Chisora (who beat Whyte) twice - once entirely out of southpaw if I recall.

Ortiz and Povetkin are the same age. The same age as Lucas Browne in fact who you seem to give Whyte a lot of credit for.
Please direct me to the exact improvements WHyte has made since the Chisora fight - who is himself coming off a career best KO.
If you're right about Pulev then maybe Whyte should have fought him to become IBF mandatory.
Hughie and Miller have question marks, there's my second agreement.

If you think he beats the bad lot, then fine, but I think you need to put a bit more into explaining why. Parker was a good win but Parker isn't that great, and it was a close fight. He gets credit for that, rightly. Browne was an absolute disgrace. He looked poor against Helenius. Lost to Chisora. I just don't see it with Whyte, I really don't.

No power- knocked alot of people out. Ask Chisora if he hits hard.

I think Whyte has improved slightly, nothing more. Went life and death with Chisora, was badly hurt a few times in fight, was very lucky not to be stopped v Parker (though good win). Fury of today would still beat Chisora in 1st gear as he would with Whyte

Possible, but even if he has still better than Chisora and I would say Whyte. Hearn could have won a purse bid to get Whyte v Pulev in the UK if they want to but they have swerved it.

I'm highly aroused at the thought of King Kong coming to London and derailing the planned AJ/Whyte fight for April.

However, it seems Matchroom don't want that smoke, and I have my suspicions that Showtime are gonna keep Ortiz fighting pushovers until they give him the rematch with Wilder.
