Classic forum devolves more and more into current heavyweights vs old heavyweights deathbattle forum... Marciano KO mid rounds. AJ's jab proves some trouble in the beginning but Marciano has found his way around trickier fighters. Unleashes a left uppercut then Suzie Q, and the (most likely) betting favorite goes down... Marciano would at least be the best competition AJ has faced
Think so too. Like for example Ali had to proove after his 22nd fight (Patterson) to finally advance into his 30s. So we know if Joshua is rly able to defeat a 185 pounder.
On the one hand, Joshua is so fragging big. On the other hand he's hittable. On the other, so is Marciano On my fourth hand, Marciano's chin is A grade and AJ's has some question marks. Honestly, I think I shall pick Marciano right now for the following reasons: AJ's jab is so-so; he's not going to keep Marciano outside with it and secondly, he doesn't really tie up and lean on the little guys, which are the two main factors that make me pick Wlad over Marciano. What I should add is that Joshua actually seems to have a good boxing brain and makes critical adjustments in the course of the fight. He did it vs Wlad and he did it again vs Povetkin. If he can set Marciano up for something big it could be over because he really does hit like a house.
Hmm, hard one to predict. We really need to see how Joshua does against a current light heavyweight like Beterbiev before knowing his chances against the Rock.
I look at this as one of the top five cruisers of all time, vs one of the top 100 (maybe top 50, with much higher potential) heavies. I'll sit on the fence.
I just want to throw something in here. I've read quite a few things already about how Joshua made this critical adjustment against Povetkin. (I know your not claiming that here) I didnt see it quite that way. Povetkin landed that hook then just ran with it. Where was the jab??? Non existent he didnt change anything up and did the same thing over and over. I could see fatigue setting into his legs as early as the 3rd I believe. His legs started going fast. All Josh could STILL do is belly jab even though he knew what was coming at him time and time again until Povetkin went to the well once too often. It was a sweet punch but Joshua showed me nothing special at all. Just my take.
Joshua went down and got up from Wlad Klitschkos best right hand Marciano went down and got up from 180lb Archie moore and 195lb Joe Walcott. I would say Joshua's chin is more proven and I don't think it's really debatable.l, Marciano has nothing like a 240lb massive puncher like Wlad on his resumee who's best shots he had to take. That being said "Marciano finds a way" XD edit: I just read the other responses hahahahahaha this forum is unbelievable. 60lb difference is nothing huh? How many of you would pick any ATG 126lber against a prime likely future ATG 175er? Pacquiao or Barrera vs Kovalev, Qawi or Spinks or RJJ or Dawson How do you think that goes? Same thing but just because both of them fit into one single invented weight division despite being 60lbs apart you think Marciano has a chance?
Joshua is 6´6 and 250. rocky is 5´10 and 185. in a Fantasy world, rocky overcomes 25 knockdowns and losing 5 Barrels of blood and scores that last second knockout. in reality, rocky would do very well to last 3 rounds.
