There was nothing wrong with Tennyson s fine effort. He can come again. He threw lots if quality shots. He was just unable to shift his feet fast enough to get them to land. Farmer was brilliant. ...really slick. Can jonnos more swarming style work? He won't be a favourite that's for sure. Farmer is really really good.

 

Is Butler in against RB? Wow! If so I'm saying right now that if Butler is fit he is a real threat to Burnett. Ryan is by no means assured of a win here!

 

how did Quigley and Conlan look?

 

Read the above posts re Quigley. Colnlon been underwhelming too so far as a pro but may finally be improving...god knows he'd want to! Both overhyped, maybe conlon might still deliver something to his hapless Irish boxing fans, looking very very unlikely quigley will get to world level.

 

I see Tommy McCarthy will box again. ...if you could call iwhat he does boxing. Without a doubt the most overhyped of them all. Can't see what the fuss is (or was, since surely now it's over) about him. I saw one of his pro fights and it was shocking... literally shocking... how bad he was. People criticize boxing saying its brutal . Well when Tommy does it, it is!

I could see why the hype was there.
Amateur elite champ good looking black lad from Belfast seems very well liked...however he hasn't really lived up to the billing.
a bit of that must def go down to how he has been handled so far but i cant see him doing a lot at this stage of his career.
he has done a lot of top sparring with top fighters so maybe that's where he is at.
British title will be his limit id say,but good luck to him.

Didnt see it to be honest, i saw the Tennyson fight and Katies well lets call it a fight,
Mick Conlan looked good in places but still lacks that take out shot that grabs the attention,but that could come with improved professional technique

 

Quigley has things to work on, but I wouldn't dismiss him entirely. Perez on the other hand looked like quality. Could bag a world title.

 

It's no the boxers I'm bashing so much s the hype surrounding them. ( if Quigly and conlon never won another fight they would still be very successful) . I do doubt Quigly can go from where he is now to world-class though. Be a remarkable turn around if he can do it. ...Not the end of the world if he doesn't... But there you go.. .

 

I think Keelers fight against Rose is the break through he has been waiting for. And it's very winnable.

 

Let’s hope so. Rose can’t beat him at this stage surely?! And there’ll be no nonsense in the build up from these two. Luke needs a good win here.
