I'll be rooting for Derevyanchenko, but he's up against it here, fighting in Jacobs' back yard. The ref, judges, crowd, and event promoter will be on Jacobs' side. Derevyanchenko will need a KO to win.
Oct 13 in Newcastle (promoted by Eddie Hearn) - The undefeated home town headliner, Lewis Ritson, lost a split decision against Francesco Patera.
The ref and one of the judges for Ritson vs Patera were Swiss, one of the other judges was from Denmark, and the other was from Finland. So all the officials were from neutral countries even though the fight was in Ritson's backyard. Let's see if they serve up the good old trusty American Special (American ref & 3 American judges) yet again on Saturday night for Jacobs vs Dev.
I desperate wanna say you’re wrong but I know you right lol. For the above reasons I’ve not seen a fight for a while now.
Well I’ll cling to that but in the back of my mind I still have that IBF debacle with Fury that ended up with AJ.
That's just it. Jacobs is the A side but Devery is more like the "Q" side. IF he wins the boxing establishment gets an old champ who doesn't speak English, has no personality, no fan base, little power and yet is good enough that you need a full, expensive 3 month camp to beat him, but will make little money. If he wins he'll be avoided like the plague.
