I like Miller but I'll say Dinu by decision. More real skills developed in his days as an amateur. Side Note: maybe Oquendo is finally done forever.
Dinu's amateur days were over a decade ago. In the ensuing time his level of competition in both real and semi- pro boxing (wasting an entire year or two in his prime on participating almost exclusively in the low-rent "Bigger's Better" heavyweight tourney series) has been horrendously stagnant, and his skills have regressed, BIG time. Maybe the biggest waste of talent in the heavyweight division since...hell, I don't even know...Golota? Miller beats him, no question.
I give Dinu a 20% chance or so. He poses more of a threat than anyone Miller has been in with thus far and who knows, maybe he'll rise to the occasion? Crazier things have happened in the HW division.
Yeah, I'm not super high on Baby, and 32 is a spring chicken opponent by his standards. An upset wouldn't be too shocking. But neither would Dinu being outclassed with ease.
Dinu is really good, athletic, experienced and technical but nobody benefits from 10 years fighting bums. I think was the most impressive EU heavyweight since K2, but too much wasted time. I'm with IB here, I like Miller by late KO in an exciting fight.
Dinu could've been something with better support. The potential was there. I forgot he was still fighting, honestly.
Same here, thought he maybe picked up some low key losses and quit. The fact he's still been fighting low level journeymen all this time and is still unbeaten is a surprise. Think Miller will win a competitive decision. Dinu's opposition has been awful this is a big step up for him. But maybe he can surprise us and pull off an upset. He's still only 32, big and athletic and Miller is nothing special.
Miller should have him out of there by the 8th. As already stated Dinu has wasted what could have been a promising pro career.
Miller on points. Dinu is the more talented fighter imo, but he's been so inactive and fighting low level opposition that I favor Big Maybe in this case.
This is such a weird fight, and I’d like it a lot if it wasn’t for a title. Dinu appears to be a capable fighter with a potent combination size, speed, and power, but a case could be made that he’s developed less in ten years than a prospect like Ajagba or Dubois has in past 1 due to his opposition and inactivity. I know he has the potential to pose a threat as Miller’s nothing special but he could just easily be exposed as another Can crusher who should’ve stayed where he was.
Miller by easy KO. Dinu's toughest opponent in his whole career is a 18-15 Nascimento for crying out loud . Miller pulverizes him withon 6 rounds and Dinu gets his build a Romanian mini castle cash out money.
Think Oquendos beef is taking a fight at 3 weeks notice when VADA haven't been testing Miller, so expect this to drag on. It'll probably be for the interim regular title
