I've never seen Negron fight either but doubt he'll be any threat. This will just be a stay busy fight for Breazeale while he waits for his mandatory title shot. When that will happen is anyone's guess. Wilder is tied into 2 fights with Fury and then maybe Joshua/Wilder happens plus the rematch. Breazeale at the earliest gets his shot in late 2019, at the worst late 2020.
Seems like a Haye comeback type opponent. Good record on paper, but hardly any substance beyond the surface.
Crazy isn't it. Breazeale probably would take the fight thinking he can KO Whyte and walk off with a nice payday but Haymon won't allow him to risk his mandatory spot. Haymon worked hard to get one of his fighters as Wilder's mandatory he won't give that up any time soon.
From what I can see on youtube, ex-light heavyweight, cruiserweight, Latino version of John Wesley Nofire.
Breazeale must have been promised the Wilder fight next providing Wilder wins. Otherwise sitting around waiting for Wilder is crazy. He would have been paid north of £1m to fight Whyte for the mandatory position, for reference Ortiz got $500k for the Wilder fight so he gets nearly 3x the amount of money to fight Whyte. You wouldnt wait around for the mandatory unless you are being promised you are going to be Wilder's next fight otherwise you could feasibly wait around for a couple of years if Wilder is truly going to fight Fury again and Joshua. Unless which has been rumoured Wilder has no plans to fight Joshua anytime soon.
Obviously I don't I'm just reading between the lines as you say. Haymon has total control of his fighters career decisions and so nothing happens with his fighters without his consent, from which promoters they sign with to who they fight. So if a fight happens or doesn't happen you know Haymon had final say.
Just need uncle Haymon to put the incredible Juggernaut Joe Joyce against a bum, and the cards complete, mcdonald matchmaking this is, how much crap can you throw against a wall before it sticks, lol.
Negron might not be terrible 6 ft 6. 83 inch reach and ko'd derrick rrossy. hasn't fought in 17-18 months though sooo breazeale should run thru him
