PBC'S Tim Smith Says NO INTENTION of Making Crawford-Spence Anytime Soon...

Arum may shake his head at it in public but hes more than happy as he will be thinking the exact same thing. They both have a top quality American fighter each who is bringing them some decent coin and as long as they keep winning that coin will increase. Both promoters would prefer to keep it that way so both know the score and will make sure their fighters dont cross paths. Its like an unspoken agreement.

 

This hurts Crawford a lot more than Spence, Spence has options at PBC but what does Crawford have at TopRank

 

Spence has in-house options, which makes it all the more mind boggling that the fights haven't materialized.

Maybe, but Crawford doesn't need to face only a TR WW. And with Spence's options w/ PBC... Thurman will require a tune up IF he returns, and Porter does the PBC schedule...one tough fight per year.

These two not facing one another is just typical of today's boxing. 0 risk until paydays.... *yawn*

 

Arum has been in this position before when he had all the fighters in one division and he’s done the same thing.. So as long as Spence fights Thurman Porter and Danny and not Callazo Ugas and Berto after the Mikey fight then I see no problem with this.. What Arum should be doing is trying to pay for a Kell Brook or Amir Khan or even one of the PBC guys until then..

Crawford advised by PBC and Haymon? He just stayed with Top Rank instead of leaving his big promoter for the smaller one's like the rest of the PBC boys did.

 

i dont see any possible fights for bud that im interested in. unless pac looks amazing against broner. robert garcia says arum only put loma on the table for mikey. i would like a rematch with benavidez if his leg heals right, but how far down the line is that? who else am i missing here? how is he planning to stay in the race for the top welterweight spot?

Y'all mad? Crawford knew he wouldn't get those fights anytime soon if he got back with Top Rank. And let's not be hypocritical here and act like Arum hasn't done the same thing repeatedly. He's just talking **** now, because he is an old scoundrel dinosaur with just a smidget of time left in this plane of existence. He's no longer the power broker he once was. He was forced to settle with Haymon and PBC, so his dirty dealings with Pac wouldn't be exposed during discovery. Now he's mad because Crawford is froze out, just like many other promoter's fighters were frozen out when Arum was the top dog.

 

It's a shame that he wasn't asked if they have any intention of making Spence - Porter or Spence - Thurman anytime soon.

If Spence keeps fighting the likes of Ocampo, or blown up lightweights he's going to look like a joke.

 

Crawford is ****ed. 135 and 140 were weak at the time. And now there is nothing for him at 147.
Even if Crawford moved up again, there would still be no one to fight.
