Guys like Julian Jackson and Sam Langford are anomolies for me, they haven't even hit the weight of diminishing returns (180lbs) but they hit harder than most heavyweights...

Goes to show how power is god-given, not always size given

I'm going to make the mistake of taking you seriously here

Foreman was harder to stay away from than most think. His chin allowed him to do basically whatever the **** he wanted against backpedallers, and Langford, while tough as nails, doesn't have the chin of Ali.

    Foreman KO mid rounds

No such thing as getting a decision over Foreman, either he knocks you out, or he collapses from going too many rounds with his poor stamina

Putting somebody on the back foot is not necessarily a measure of success.

The matador is always on the back foot, but the bull rarely wins.

Often the fighter on the front foot, is just being stupid and obvious!

Who did he take on who was way bigger with the power of Foreman?
    Lets have their names?

Fulton a 6'4" stringbean stopped him twice.

No the matador stands his ground and makes the bull pass either side of him.

    Foreman: 6'4" 217lbs

    Harry Wills: 6'3" 210lbs
    George Godfrey: 6'2" 220 lbs
    Bill Tate: 6'6" 230lbs
    Andre Anderson: 6'5" 210lbs
    Jim Cameron: 6'2" 210lbs

Not to mention 215-225lbs versions of McVey and Jim Johnson

Apparently you don't know what string bean is. Fulton was 6'4" 205-225lbs, that's a fine weight. Not fat like today's heavyweights I guess

Did he collapse against Moorer Holyfield,Morrison,Briggs? when he was an old fat man?
Did he even sit down ONCE between rounds?

Once and for all Foreman did not have suspect stamina,he had suspect pacing until his return as an older guy when he had learned to relax!
If his stamina was suspect at 25 it would have been even more pronounced when he was 45! But it wasn't ,it wasn't even an issue!
Jesus, sometimes I wonder what people are seeing when they watch fights?

Because he knew how to pace himself as an old man, as in, never moving. It cost him quite a few victories

    Okay .
Godfrey was a novice for all 3 fights.
    Tate was sparring partner level.
    Anderson was a second rater.
    Cameron was a 4th rater
How many times did Langford beat Wills and how many times did Wills beat Langford?
Wills btw was 6'2" McVey was never 215/225 lbs against Langford and he was 5'10"! Johnson was a fringe contender 5'10"
None of them could hit like Foreman.

    Fulton 6'4" string bean.

I notice you picked the lowest weight you could for a prime Foreman.
Omitting the fact that he was:
    220lbs vAli
    224lbsv Frazier2
    226bs v Norton
    219.25 v Roman
And carrying no fat in any of them!

Glad you agree it was a pacing issue not a lack a of stamina issue!

Wow what a dismissive response. I'll take this in order of absurdity

Nobody on this PLANET IN EXISTENCE EVER hit like George Foreman, minus Earnie Shavers and MAYBE Sonny Liston. Absolutely obsolete comment disregarding the fighters.

Tate was a legitimate fighter, he was just the sparring partner of Dempsey. He's probably the equivalent of Oliver McCall, Tyson's sparring partner (not like they'd tie if they fought, just generation equivalents)

McVey weighed 215/225 against Langford a few times, go check boxrec. Ok? McVey was built like an ox. I know a guy thats 5'11" 240lbs and still athletic.

    Johnson's height is WIDELY disputed.

Wills and Langford were great rivals and Langford got him on more than a few occasions. Yes Wills won the majority. So?

Langford was also a novice for his fight with Godfrey. Though Langford was a crazy novice, considering he beat Gans when he was still in his early 20s of fights.

Wills is listed as 6'3" by boxrec. Even then it doesn't matter. Stop trying to focus on small ****. If we wanna get technical, many sources list Foreman as 6'3" to 6'3 1/2"

    "Anderson was a second rater.
    Cameron was a 4th rater"

Wow what a way to write them off. The size still stands

Langford fought men bigger than Foreman and men comparable to Foreman's size that also had skills.

Well, you know, if he had more stamina he wouldn't need to pace himself.

That being said, some guys weren't meant to be slam bam, don't give a damn types like Marciano who can go forever
