Michael Parkinson a UK journalist and talk show presenter filmed 3 long interviews with Muhammad Ali over a decade. He's a far more compelling subject for me anyway.

Very open and honest statements from fury

you have to admire this guy and what he has accomplished.

But I disagree with Rogan who said he “boxed Klitschko’s face off”. From the fight I saw, fury barely won a very uneventful fight when hardly anything was landed by either man

But Fury did win and if he can maintain a stable mindset, I se him also beating Joshua after he wipes the ring with Wilder.

But the variable is; can fury stay mentally focused and sound——We know he has skills, the size advantage, and the movement-handspeed and quick countering ability...., but does he have the CONSISTENT mindset and self control to hold on to what he takes from Wilder

He is the best heavy currently fighting when he is “on”

    Lol

Humans suck in all the emotional porn they see from celebrities because they're too weak to go into the depths of their ownselves and deal with their own problems.

'Oh look! The man on the tv is sad and miserable just like me. I must matter and my life must have purpose as well. I feel so much better now. I'm glad I have a celebrity to watch to talk about their feelings so I don't have to confront mine'

For the record, I think fury is a great man and very humble. But I don't get my rocks off hearing other people talk about how sad and confused they are. I've spent years delving into my own mind and my own problems. Nothing he's said in the interview is anything different than what men have been feeling for thousands of years. 'On the outside I have a great life. But on the inside I'm not happy' OMGZ AMAZING!!!

I found it to be a great interview. It’s not as if he was seeking attention and threatening suicide on line or social media like your boy Broner:risas3::hang

Its become a myth that Fury schooled klitschko. The HBO commentary had him in a sizeable lead but the UK team thought he was too negative and klitschko edged it.

I thought Fury won but it was fairly close, neither man covered themselves in glory

One of my top 5 most boring fights ever however we have to give Tyson credit for neutralizing Klitschko. I would bet my next paycheck that was the lowest volume of clinches and hugs EVER in one of his fights

    Grow up. Seriously.

Set aside your biases for 2 minutes and respect the guy for opening up on what is not only a taboo subject, but in his culture (gypsy) is almost unheard of to talk about.

He talks candidly about how he was seconds from topping himself by driving into a bridge at 200mph and how he overcome that level of depression by setting short and long-term goals. Men need a purpose in life, a goal or objective to achieve.

Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 40 in the UK, if that interview helps one guy out of a very dark place, Fury's boxing achievements pale into insignificance.

Incorrect. McRory, Smith and Froch (Sky commentary team) all had Fury winning by a few points. No-one thought Wlad had won because he didn't throw a punch for 11 rounds.

    How's talking about depression taboo?

Why has the world all of a sudden made up the notion that it's been frowned upon to talk about depression?

Seriously the last 2 years the world has quite literally created a fabricated aura that society for some reason never wanted men to admit they're sad.

Show me an instance in the entire world where a man has been condemned for expressing his feelings?

It's insane the type of things people make up to make situations more heroic than they ever are.

Really be honest with yourself and ask yourself if you have ever had a man in your life that wasn't allowed to express his feelings?

I think fury is a GREAT GUY. But there is nothing innately admirable about a guy talking about the sadness of his life. It's normal. Very very normal in my world. My country. My community.

I think what this shows is the shallowness of your life. For this to be impressive, you must have a very superficial life. Probably an angry father, friends who care more about instagram followers than real connection, relationships based on television rather than conversation. Thats why this is impressive to you. You have never heard this kind of thing from a man before, and you yourself couldn't ever imagine being this open. Thats why this is a big deal to people like you. And that's a good thing I guess. You're sheltered.

I wish this impressed me and it wasn't just the same human existential crisis story I've heard a thousand times before from people from all walks of life. I'd probably be a lot more happier.

    :)

No but it probably helps a lot of people who have these problems to have someone they can relate to. And seeing someone they look up to, open up and tell his story and how to he got through it, it's a good thing he's doing.

I was never a fan of him honestly, due to his stupid antics and the whole persona. But seeing him talk in such a down to earth and humble manner about deeply personal issues, I've gained A LOT more respect for him now.

And the thing as well is, a lot of people who are supposedly depressed, they either keep it to themselves or it's some fake **** like "Oh I was sad because I was drinking a lot". If you've been through it, and I have at certain points in my life, hearing Tyson talk here, you know what he's saying is 100% real.

You're patently very dim and/or young, brainlet.

You seem unable to gauge context, attention to detail or apply critical thinking and fancy yourself as something of an armchair psychologist; which amusing as it is, is quite concerning at the same time.

For the last time, the important part is how he overcame it, not how he's supposedly lamenting (which he isn't).
