Just watched his latest interview and by god is it alarming. He really is just in it for the paycheck and is already making excuses for when he loses, and blatantly saying he isn't bothered to win another fight. I know what it's like to never want to come to terms with the truth that your favorite fighters are trash. I support Jeff Horn and Adrien Broner, trust me, I know.

Fury fans really need to get 2015 fury out of their memory and listen to what he says when he isn't on stage selling a fight.

Here are a few things he said that really made me say 'wow this guy really doesn't give a ****. He wants to get paid and go home':

    'it's only a boxing match'

'We can only do our best, and at the end of the day if our best isn't good enough, then it isn't good enough'

'People ask me what this fight means to me, but really, what's another win on my record going to do? 28 and 0? wow. It's another boxing fight.. whoopdy doo'

'I have more belts than any boxing champion alive. They don't keep me warm at night'

'It's a boxing fight. I'm sure it'll be a great one, I'm looking forward to being involved in it. Win lose or draw, I'm going to put up a great fight'

'All I ever wanted to do was beat Klitschko and I did it. I wasn't interested in belts or a long reign or being a role model. Now I just want to fight wilder and have fun in the ring and be myself'

Now in the context of reading those sentences you may try to justify them to yourself and will continue to be blind to Furys clear lack of giving a damn. So I encourage you to watch the interview yourself (its all in the first 15 minutes) and see how he says it.

Fury is washed up. Great guy. But he's more likely to go on a motivational speaking tour for depression than he is to ever win a world title again. Deep down, you Fury fans know it as well.

You all want the farytale ending where the athlete beats all odds and conquers his demons and becomes world champion again. But this is real life. Fury doesn't have the drive in him to be a consistent world champion. He's said it himself. He doesn't want to get up and go to the gym, to defend belts, to win belts.. he's not the guy you want him to be. He peaked when he beat klitschko and it was enough for him. He lost millions in legal fees fighting his PEDs cases and blowing money on drugs, so he needs to build his cash back up and then he's done (his words). That's the harsh reality of what we are seeing play out right in front of us. You will see the same fury who fought Pianta and he will get dropped in under 3 rounds. This isn't rocky. He isn't standing in front of Deontay Wilder for 36 minutes and walking out if that ring all bloody with a points decision. Not in reality does that ever happen. Fury fans need to stop living in an alternate universe.

    Fury is the bum Rocky.

Let’s face it, if he didn’t have major problems then Wilder wouldn’t be anywhere near him.

What if he is just saying that just to fool Wilder? The Spider laying its trap. And as he said...this is 'boxing'.

You're right. He wouldn't be anywhere near him right now... because the fight would of already happened 2 years ago.

Wilder has been calling him out for 3 years. stop acting like Wilder has ever ducked anyone and fury is this boxing god. Klitschko is the only name on furys record. Chisora and Cunningham have 18 losses between themselves. Fury is literally the most overrated champion in the past decade.

'I really respect Deontay Wilder, he wants to fight the best and will fight anyone' - Tyson Fury

Fury doesn't even agree with you, acting like Wilder doesn't want problems with healthy fighters :roflmao:

Yeah, I'm sure Fury is banking on gaining a psychological edge by hoping Wilder watches a 'behind the gloves' youtube interview of him sitting on the couch talking boxing, romance, and drinking tea.

    Sound plan.

when Wilder beats Fury he’ll be the second name on his resume but everyone knows that Wilder is picking these fighters with major issues.

I think its the other way around. I think Wilder fans need to realise the Wilder of 2008 - 2018 was never that good. Fury by wide UD.

Fury has talked this way his whole career, including the lead up to the Klitschko fight. Have you seen how he looks in his media workouts? He's clearly working his ass off. He's training in America away from his family and flying in expensive sparring partners. But Yea, he has no desire to win.

You clearly know nothing about Tyson Fury and you're In for one he'll of a shock!

    Hahahahaha

It's like looking at myself in the mirror when I thought Horn would knock Crawford spark out.

Some on here are so driven by agenda that they choose to ignore logic and common sense surrounding this fight. Fury poses little to no risk based on everything he put his body through The last 2 years or so and the form he showed in his comeback fights. It's an easy fight over a big name on paper hence Wilder and his team taking the fight without any apprehension whatsoever.

Only people I've seen say otherwise are resident Wilder fanboys and as OP stated some deluded Brit fans.

Comparing Horn to Fury and Wilder to Crawford is a shockingly poor analogy

That philosophical side to Tyson Fury has always been there, and he said similar things prior to the Klistchko fight(s). Now there may be some truth in what he says, but he is so inconsistent that it's hard to figure out exactly what he believes.

Would truly be stunned if Fury beats Wilder. Wilder is going to massacre him at some point in the fight, and it shouldn't take very long.
