Since Pulev is the IBF mandatory to AJ, and the IBF is pretty strict with the enforcement, AJ will probably face him next year.

This is going to be the third contender in his late 30s that is going to fight for a title shot.

    W. Klitchko 41 years old
    Povitkin 39 years old
Pulev 38 years old next year

The thing is, these three guys are probably going to AJ's best opponents on his resume.

    Garbage era.

This. Pulev has a very rich backer, which explains how he keeps getting ranked so high. Even going into his Wlad fight I kept wondering what I was missing that everyone else seen in Pulev. I didn't see anything that he did well enough to keep Wlad from flattening him in 5-7 rounds and of course Wlad ended up easily crushing him.

Maybe 50 y.o. Fres Oquendo gets a shot at AJ's WBA title few years from now, who knows?

That's the heavyweight division. Always was with two exceptions; The Ali 70s and the Tyson mid-80s. Other than that there are 1 or 2 superior fighters. 3 decent contenders and a bunch of journeymen.

Its starting to look at this rate Joseph Parker is going to be the only prime, decent opponent that AJ is going to fight given that even Wilder is going to be in his mid 30s next year. And Fury has not looked good in his recent outings.

Bruno had 4 goes at a strap, why shouldn't Kubrat have two?

Pulev would have probably beaten Parker and Whyte to be fair. He's on Povetkin's level. Lol.

And maybe a 60 year old Oritz gets a IBF title shot after him.

If these guys were in their primes they’d beat Joshua and Wilder.

This era isn't better. Klitschko leftovers in their late 30s are still top 10. Plague rat going to plague though.
