Yeah ticket sales doesn't look good at the moment though there is time.

Plus there are plenty of tickets on stubhub which are showing sold on the AXS sight so unless all those stubhub tickets sell in reality those seats showing as sold will be empty.

Edit: there's 923 tickets available on stubhub for the fight so in reality that's 923 tickets showing on the AXS sight showing as sold that could potentially be empty.

That $1 mil in 25 mins not looking so hot.

This is no surprise. Two unknown fighters.

Even the most ardent Wilder fan must admit his no box office star.

Didn't watch the video but it strikes me as odd that they took this fight to Los Angeles.

Wilder had been building some momentum with fights in New York.

This fight should have built on that, not walked away from it to the other side of the country.

The whole promotion is poor. . . .This fight makes no sense in LA. . . It should be in Las Vegas, New York City or Atlantic City. . . The timing is bad and the marketing is poor. . . My gawd, this event should be a mega event between two huge undefeated heavyweight champions. I am not impressed with Frank Warren, Al Haymon, Shelly Finkle and Lou DiBella.. . . .Where is Don King when you need him?. . . .Tyson Fury has the story, salesmanship and charisma while all Wilder can do is scream BOOOOMB SQUAAAAD!. . . Deontay is better to keep quiet than embarrass himself like he does. Americans have not warmed up to him or even know who he is.. . . This thing needed a good PR department.

And a good percentage of that million will now be on Stubhub trying to be resold at a much higher price. So we really don't know how much of that million was actual sales from fans and how much were touts or the promoters inflating prices by putting them on stubhub like Matchroom likes to do.

They went on a 3 city promotional tour and are all over youtube with new interviews and training clips every day.. what kind of extra promotion would you have them do?

Showtime calls you up tomorrow and says

'hey, The Mighty one.. we heard you were an expert promoter, could you give us some advice.. what would you like us to do to promote this fight more than we already have?'

What do you say to them?

I don’t care. Hopefully Fury will outbox him and we forget about the most overrated heavyweight champion of all time.

I’m gonna laugh when the Joshua-Wilder mega fight falls apart and Hearn and AJ must face Fury who is a horrible match up for him.

And I’m not British and I’m not a Fury fan.

In not so certain. During all the Wilder v AJ discussion I said I don't know how big that fight would be in America as even though on paper it looks big the reality would be two fighters not well known in the states.

If this fight bombs at the gate and PPV Wilder would of somehow made his negotiating position vs AJ weaker.

I agree on this, they tried everything. But boxing doesn’t sell these days in America. Only Mexicans spending dollars to watch a fight because of Canelo.

PPV buys will be under 300K, Hearn is right

I don't think it's as simple as that. Remember you are selling one fighter who has not fought in 3 years and isn't well known in America.

You then have Wilder who has a 40 fight career which is full of bums and a forgettable title reign.

Add expensive tickets and suddenly this is a very hard sell.

So actually, taking into account all of the above, the ticket sales look pretty solid...

they should have made the tix as accessible as possible to increase exposure for the winner, to build awareness and interest in the eventual unification, which is where everone cashes in.
