I got the exact same scorecard. Could have been 116-112 either way, Jacobs was throwing too much pitty pat nothing jabs and punches for me to score in his favour in the closer rounds.

 

Is Jacobs punch drunk? His speech is somewhat iffy.

 

Terrific fight with a perfectly acceptable range of scores. Had it 114-113 Jacobs, but there were a couple of swing rounds, so a slightly wider DJ score or a 114-113 card for SD would have been acceptable.

Let's see the rematch to a fight that I'm really tempted to call my new front runner for FOTY.

Derevchenko was tough but I knew Jacobs would deliver.

 

Ugh you guys are so predictable. This was a damn great, smart boxing performance by Daniel. The clearest rounds in the middle of the fight were his. And as I said both the outside style it was predominantly fought at was Jacobs style, and Jacobs was the harder, more impactful puncher. This was a wonderful, close tactical boxing match, but Jacobs won it, shut up with any talk that Derevyancheko got robbed.

Canelo-Jacobs in May is now the fight that makes sense!

 

Thought Jacobs was being lazy later in the fight. His gas tank was just emptying out, he was conserving energy.
