At 147: Crawford, Spence jr, Thurman, Porter, old Pac, Danny Garcia, as well as some solid prospects. Add Khan, Vargas, Broner, Dulorme, Peterson etc.

At 160: Canelo, GGG, Jackobs, Derevyanchenko, BJS, Charlo brothers, Brant, Murata etc.

Which one do you prefer? Vote and discuss.

    Middlweight!

Welterweight feels like it's getting cold before it even got hot. Thurman's semi-retired, Pac doesn't matter, Broner makes for competitive fights but he's not elite. Garcia's no longer championship level, Porter is only ok. Just don't care about those guys anymore. Vargas-Dulorme might have been the best welterweight fight this year, gawd. I only really care about Crawford-Spence, let me know when they're in the ring.

Middleweight has a good handful of true elites, who all make for compelling stylisticly contrasting matchups. And have been fighting each other already. Add Andrade to your list, plus throw in Lemieux at least as an opponent for the lower top 10, like Murata. There also aren't promotional roadblocks making most of the top middleweight fights. That Canelo vs another top middlweight is a superfight in the mainstream limelight makes middle better than welter too.

    160. The best are actually fighting the best while they are still building heat at 147. Pity they'll have retired by the time they are ready to fight.

147 is becoming a damp squib.

I would like to clarify: which one theoretically or realistically? Because 147 is definitely stalled because of the politics, yes, and the best fights like Crawford vs. Spence might never happen at all.

Theoretically. Imagine Thurman is active. Spence and Crawford eager to fight each other next year.

For me it's the welterweight division, then.
