GGG doesn't have to do what the WBC says, he's not their *****; especially to protect Canelo. Let Canelo handle the mandatory. One thing about GGG being robbed is Charlo is Canelo's problem now--trying to pass responsibility onto an already cheated fighter is a ridiculous joke.
Can I just take Ockam's razor to this? Why on Earth should Charlo and GGG fight just because the corrupt ba$**** bandit WBC say so? Charlo is already mandatory challenger, eliminators done; and GGG owes them nothing and doesn't defer to the idiots. The WBC say jump-- the fighters don't say 'how high'?...they say f**k off. Good for them.
Why don't you ask his team and advisors that question. There's obviously something about Charlo that spooks them.
Ok, I believe you. dren....I have more faith in a passionate, honest and decent boxing fan like yourself than those guys. Easy sell and hope you're right fella
But there are no money in the Brant fight... And Golovkin doesn't care much about titles. So, would he fight Brant just in hopes that the WBA would force Canelo fight the winner? I doubt it as well... The WBA with all their sh**ty titles would be so glad to "negotiate" with Oscar, and Canelo will stay the champion as long as they want to. Golovkin is kind of unlucky now — due to circumstances (especially with that Murata loss) he's out of big fights at the moment, and the clock is ticking. I see him signing with DAZN very soon and fighting whoever Eddie finds for him.
If you think that that wasn't a finacially huge event you know little about the Japanese and virtually nothing about economics.
Real shame that Loffler has taken that stance. In my opinion this is more to do with the fact that PBC/Showtime will not deal with him as a promoter than it is about GGG or Sanchez being scared of anyone. Loffler has one star left and he is going to try and leverage him into a long term deal for his stable, as GBP did with DAZN. Only problem is that GGG isn't as valuable a commodity as Canelo.
Canelo had to do everything the WBC asked just so Golovkin got everything he wanted , remember? Funny how different standards apply to different people. But its not about the WBC anyway , its about Golovkin outright refusing to take a good fight for the division. Canelo already stepped up twice and may even step up again against Callum Smith down the line. Who has GGG stepped up against? Rob Brant nearly shutting out Murata shows us why GGG always wanted that fight. A Charlo fight is good for the division , would be good for his resume and would make him mandatory to Canelo again , but the simple fact of the matter is GGG doesn't take risks or challenges. He expects Canelo to keep fighting him over and so he doesn't have to go and fight somebody else thats half decent. GB won't give him a 3rd fight unless he goes away and beats somebody good.
Let's see who they go for. I figure it has to be Brant because he has that shitty WBA thing, which is fine if they want that to enforce a WBA mando shot. Otherwise I don't see how the Charlo fight doesn't make sense really. If they want a quick tune up then fine say you want a quick tune up and then let's get a proper fight going but he doesn't have the time to spare any more
