What’s next for Golovkin and when?

A Canelo fight in May or September. Maybe a fight before then against whoever brings the most $$$$.

He should fight before next May. Canelo won't give him a third fight anyway

 

He could fight Andrade. Hearn has already said he'd love to get Golovkin on DAZN. Now he can dangle the carrot that is the WBO title to entice GGG.

 

Loeffler was quoted saying the mandated fight with Charlo doesn't make sense, so that only leaves Brant. I think he signs with DAZN and chases a 3rd fight with Canelo Alvarez.

 

I suppose Brant since he has a strap. Otherwise, well, he needs to stay active at his age.

Why is BJS fight not interesting

He never got beaten and would still whoop GGG

 

Because Saunders sniffs banned substances up his nose and had to voluntarily vacate his WBO title as a result as he was about to be stripped, he's apparently serving a 6 months suspension and doesn't have a boxing license in Mass which I'd imagine would affect his ability to fight in the States for the forseeable future. Without a title he offers nothing to GGG as it would be a non-title fight if it happened.

BJS released a video that showed him trying to sell crack to a hooker on the street for which he was fined 100,000 quid for. Frank Warren recently made a statement that he fears that a "despondant" Saunders could go "completely off the rails".

Did you know that in 2008 as an amateur in Beijing, Billy Joe Saunders was suspended by the Amateur Boxing Association for posting a "sick and disgusting" video on the internet. According to a report, a camcorder film showed Saunders confronting a Frenchwoman in an "inappopriate manner" while staying in a hotel with the British team.

What in the world would GGG gain for fighting a cheating drug sniffing crack selling suspended nutcase like BJS ?

 

Fight for WBO title, of course.

 

To be honest, GGGs career doesn’t interest me that much anymore. He’s obviously past it and I don’t like seeing my favorite fighters lose to lesser men when they are past it.
Even if he beats Charlo his legacy wouldn’t increase as Charlo hasn’t done anything. The Jacobs win is worth 3 charlos. Ggg best Canelo in the first fight the whole world knows what it saw. He’s made money plenty of it possibly more than Miguel Cotto did (those 2 canelo fights were a windfall man). So why risk a beating at the hands of a BJS or Charlo for a million bucks. Ggg was ducked in his prime so let the prime fighters deal with each other

 

BJS had all the momentum in the world and you're right, he doesnt seem interesting anymore after the bust.

 

He could always do what he likes doing, say nobody wants to fight him and drag somebody up. Willie Nelson might be available.
