I cannot stand that seat-sniffing weirdo Adam Smith. Just imagine if Bellew wins in 2 weeks. IMAGINE IT. Imagine his commentary.

It would be time to re-enact Jonestown.

I am utterly astounded that BT don't have Darke doing commentary seeing as he does their football commentary. The only thing I can think of is that he doesn't want to do boxing anymore.

That must be the case, saying that I think BT are high on Rawling because they call him the voice of boxing. I think Rawling is crap personally.

They were so far up Jacobs last night they where hanging out his nostrils. I wanted Jacobs to win but the three of them were embarrassing.

Spencer Oliver last night had Jacobs 6-7 rounds up at one point, Adam was OK with that score, was agreeing until..

They got Dan Rafaels scorecard and he had a point between the fighters, and you could almost hear them scrambling getting others scores around ringside.

Then the same old rubbish happens, they start giving it the old..

"you can have really really close rounds but if one man is pinching them all the scores look really wide"

    And the classic

"It doesn't matter how we are seeing it, it's the judges at ringside that count.."

They were so wrapped up in wrapping their lips around Jacobs when they got a few other scores they fell to pieces.

Then they were back tracking, trying to justify Olivers ridiculous 6-7 point gap, by the end of the fight Paul Smith who had it "wide for Jacobs" at one point only had a couple of points between them.

Adam Smith started telling us about the close rounds again and "it's what you like" and Spencer Oliver had tighted up his card.

I am absolutely convinced Smith has a look on twitter and saw what people were saying about Olivers card and to my surprised questioned him on it, basically asked him to explain it.

Rather cheeky considering Smith himself was all in on Jacobs until he got wind of Rafaels and a few others scorecards and probably had a look on twitter.

Another thing I have a problem with is Sky's Scoring criteria, it changes depending on what matchroom fighter they are watching, if it's a high volume fighter then "it's the workrate that is winning these rounds" and if the matchroom fighter is getting outworked then "it's the classy shots that are stealing these rounds.

    It's blatant, bias and pathetic.

This happens too much on Sky, it's boring, predictable and is ruining great fights, they don't need 3 people chatting rubbish throughout the fight and seeing which one of them can nosh off Eddies fighter the best.

Agreed mate they are crap and sadly I can’t see it changing any time soon. Before these clowns we were subjected to that cretin Nick Halling on there who was also terrible.

When you think it all started with Harry Carpenter and Reg Gutteridge and now it's reached this level of dross. Surely things should get better not 10 times worse. One time Harry lost his impartiality when he said ' come on Frank ' ( Tyson Bruno 1 ). He was genuinely embarrassed by that. They are like One Direction fans. What really annoys me is that they think everyone involved in British boxing is amazing ( BT as well ). We've got the best Board, the best referees, the best trainers, the best cuts men etc. Then the Dazn shows and Hughie Fury and Terry Flanagan ( last 5 world level fights, all losses ) prove that that might not be the case after all.

They were really, really bad during the Jacobs fight. Spencer Oliver is an absolutely abysmal commentator. The fact he has a podcast with that Jake Wood idiot says it all. Incredibly bias towards Jacobs and just full of cliches. Pains me to say that Paul Smith was probably the most tolerable.

Bang on. You know what other thing Oliver kept saying that annoyed me? "Yes, but it's the eye catching stuff from Jacobs that's nicking the rounds"
Eye catching is not a scoring criteria.

I'll tell you something, BT Sport's Boxing Twitter page is the most cringiest thing in British boxing. They are trying so hard to be as relevant as Sky. They must have left 50 emoji filled tweets when Tyson was on the Rogan show. "Brilliant interview with Tyson Fury! How can you not love this man" is a common tweet.

Even Sky Sports don't cringingly glorify AJ as much as BT Sports are doing with their fighters.

*edit* as soon as I've posted this comment, they have uploading a laughing face emoji filled tweet "Hilarious video as Tyson Fury low kicks mascot. No Jaws were broken", and then retweeting all the positive tweets. Absolute cringe fest.

I like to play a game when Adam Smith is commentating, who would like to play along.
Assuming (unlikely I know) that Bellew takes Usky the full 12 rounds, what minute of what round will Adam Smith say somthing along the lines of the following.....?

"Tony Bellew, the lifelong Everton fan, he is a family man of course"

It's the "family man" bit, he goes there when he cant think of something to say. Does it a heck of a lot.

Sky sports is solely aimed at the casuals.

That's not a dig, but from the one sided fights, terrible commentary, hype, matchroom love in etc it's all built to sell ppvs

Hahah Yeah a bit like the old "Jim Watt Bingo".

The other week when Coyle fought, Adam Smith mentioned the "Family fruit and veg stall back in Hull.." nearly as much as Coyles name.

Somebody asked in the rbr is Smith has shares in the Coyle family business LOL

Yeah you are right, Smith will say "family man" and "life long Everton fan"

With Bellew I'd like to predict Smith saying the sentence/phrase "He has defied the odds.." and "it's a huge ask but can he do it (insert co-commentator name) ?.."

I also believe Smith will say "real slick/smooth operator" when talking about Usyk.
