I really think after Leg getting Hacked (less mobile) & getting beat down by 160 GGG I truly think Porter would've mauled Brook late stoppage. Spence fought Brook at the right time, cutting down from 160 after surgery very strange circumstances with large sums of money on the line. Spence career has a lot of smoke & mirrors.

I agree with that. Pac at 147 and above, his resume isn't that great. It's what he did in his lower weight classes which make his career imo.

What I've been saying. Thurman should be regarded as #1 at 147 based on resume. If 1-time hadn't
had a bad surgery then Spence wouldn't get so much praise. Spence is not a top 10 p4p fighter. I'd also
favor Bud to beat him wide.

 

Brook and Peterson were better wins than Algieri.

 

Howso? Algieri was undefeated (Pac version) and was war torn (Spence version). Brook had his leg cut open and his face smashed in by GGG before dropping back down to 147. PEDerson had his soul taken by Matthysse, but did perform well against Garcia.

 

Algeri wasn’t shot he gave Khan a tough ass fight, Spence did what Pac couldn’t and that was a obliterate Algeri. No one is saying Spence has the resume to match Pac but if Pac is brave he should take on Spence, that will be a one way trip to retirement.

 

Pacquiao knocked Algieri down 6X and had him out on his feet in the 9th round. Pacquiao moved in to finish him and was doing the business, but then the ref literally pushed Pacquiao off of him FOR NO REASON. Pacquiao even had his back turned and was surprised that the fight resumed. You can consider that a TKO victory.

Plus Pacquiao didn't have the size/power advantage that Spence enjoyed. And Algieri stood and traded with Spence, but boxed off the backfoot w/ Pacquiao.

Pacquiao fought a better undefeated version of Algieri. It's not debatable. I agree that Spence permanently retires Pacquiao at this stage.

However let’s not act like Spence isn’t the top welter weight atm, either coz the other won’t fight him or in the case of Crawford coz he just got into the division
