Just hit me that in 5 months, Thurman will have been out of the ring for 2 years.
I doubt he will return this year.

Kieths parents should have given him a more classic name, like Murman or Herman. I honestly dont think Thurman will ever return, sounds like his injuries have gotten the better of him. His style isnt conducive to layoffs/long injury spells, he will be easy pickings if he does return.

Why is that a reason to rank him above LSC?

I think his life has changed drastically in the last few years and the hunger is likely gone.
He had his big fights against Guerrero, Porter and Garcia.
He won a world title and then unified.
    He made millions of dollars.
And he is now also married.

Money, Fame and Glory. He has them all. What else is out there?

I think he should step away for good. (if his hunger really is gone)

Just because CST would pick even Malik Scott over Joshua, doesn't mean his irrational.

Nice lists, I would only make a few positional changes in a few of them, great job.

For the most part I agree. I would change the following

Stevenson is number 1 at LHW
Spence is number 1 at WW
Garcia is number 1 at LWW
LSC is number 1 at FW

That's imo of course and all are debatable.

I understand why some don't rank Stevenson but given that I only considered Kovalev above him I think he's retook top spot by default.

Spence I'm vehemently in favour of being considered number 1. Thurman is too inactive now and hasn't fought for too long.

Garcia was definitely the best LWW out there but if he's left the division then fair enough, I'd have Prograis as next in line.

Frampton at number one is the only one I 100% disagree with, I don't understand that at all tbh.

I was hesitant as well, but.... Alvarez had a solid enough resume going inot the Kovalev match with wins over Bute, Pascal, Chilemba (barely),, Prieto. Berridge and Liebenberg, but the win over Kovalev, while not as significant now post Ward, he did legit no controversy stop Kovalev. So that is the best win of any active LHW, then adding in the other wins, his is the most solid. But I agree with you, Gvozdyk Beterbiev and Bivol all most likely beat him, but until they do, I can't put them above him.

I have the same sneaking suspicion, Warrington will give Frampton fits, and this will not be an easy fight for the Jackal.

Believe me, it pained me to choose Alvarez as well. But at this point, he is the unified champion, and even though I had him losing both fights, I kind of wanted to avoid that controversy derailing this thread, and he is champ, even though I view him as illegitimate, so it is what it is. Its only a matter of ime before I slot GGG to to the Number 1 spot though.

You know what... you're right. I just changed my list.:lol It's hard to put a guy up that high that's basically coming off of 3 losses, but dammit, we both know damn well what really happened, so **** it, Trout's up top 6 now.:deal:

Has word reached you on whatver planet you're living on that Ward and Cleverly have both retired? And that Braehmer has moved down to Super Middleweight? And that Chad Dawson hasn't won a match against a vaguely worthy contender since Stevenson KO'd him a few years back? Or that Top Dog just got destroyed by some Mexican no one has ever heard of? Or that Fonfara has moved to Cruiserweight? Or that you can't spell worth a damn?

They're 1-1 with each other, the rematch was far closer than most make it out to be IMO. At best a 115-113 like win for LSC, well since that match Santa Cruz has rematched Mares, and barely beat him once again, 115-113 was the right score in that one as well, and Leo also struggled with Avalos, who Frampton eradicated, whereas Carl has gone on the yeah struggle with Horacio Garcia after coming off of a long layoff, but he righted the ship by dominating Nonaire with the exception of 2 or 3 rounds, and taking the 0 of Luke Jackson, while maybe Luke Jackson isn't great, he's better than Avalos, and I still rate Donaire over a win over Mares, and I'm far from a Mares hater. So since they went 1-1 I view them as near even, with their post fight exploits edging Carl ahead by a smidge.
