    Local Sydney promoter Matt Rose is putting a package together . The NSW
    Gov will mostly likely subsidy the fight like Qld Gov did with Horn vs
    Pacquiao. We have a new opening of Parramatta Stadium ( 30000).
    Yes a complete mismatch but great for local economy and boxing .
    Mackenzie is currently WBO no 3 and has fight lined up on Horn vs
    Mundine undercard. If he wins he could be no 1 by end of yr.

    Thinking about it tho... If Loma can't get a decent fight at 135 after Pedraza then it makes sense to go back to SFW, yes? It has more overall depth in terms of what's left for him at 135 & what's available at 130... Linares & Pedraza are two very good wins (touch wood) & other than Garcia there isn't much for him.. SFW has some interesting options & he's more suited to the weight IMO What's to do at LW if Garcia doesn't want it? He may as well go for some more titles at SFW surely...

    Everyone laughed at the prospect of Pacquiao vs Horn. Welp, it happened!

    I doubt it's something Loma wants.
    Arum is likely pushing for it and i think he will convince Loma to take it.

    Sweet Aussie jesus! They're actually going to ritually sacrifice MacKenzie for their local economy over there.
    Back to the long gone times where they put on a freakshow with a debuting guy against a multi division champ. Or a #70 from a division below against a reigning champ.

    Matt Rose is going over to negotiate with Arum. If NZ could put together a WBO
    HW fight then why not a WBO LW fight in Sydney ? Yes this fight does zero for Loma
    legacy as fighter but look at the bigger picture. It would be great for Aust Boxing
    and will help entrench Loma as a world wide boxing ambassador just like Ali
    was fighting in cities all over the world.
    Sadly when former great or very good fighters have come to Aust like Roy
    Jones Jr , Shane Mosley and Pacaquiao they are past their prime or in the
    twilight of the career. Loma is at the peak of his powers now.
    Yes this fight is longshot but nobody can begrudge Loma what could well be
    his biggest payday and what will cement his status as truly global fighter.
