The Garcia fight just isn't going to happen, and if it does, i can't see it being in the next couple of years. With Garcia gone, there isn't really anyone for him to fight. Campbell, Linares & Easter Jr are his best options at 135. If he were to move down, he has fights with Berchelt, Davis, Machado & Farmer, who aren't a murderers row themselves, but are far better fights than the fights available at 135. Russell Jr could move up soon for a rematch, LSC could go up again, Frampton wants to move up to 130. Unless he wants to wait until the 140 WBSS is over, imo, his best bet is to move back down to 130...thoughts?

After his shoulder injury it would be dumb to drop weight. He should move up.

I think he would do well at 140. He showed he can deal with bigger opponents like Linares who just moved up to Super Lightweight and has a very strong and compact physique.

He should unify this division first anyway.

i'd rather see him unify against the likes of Davis, Berchelt & Farmer than Commey/Chaniev winner and Campbell/probably Abdullaev winner.

i don't doubt he could do well at 140, it's more that for the time being he doesn't have the best of fights at lightweight, and the same problem would apply to 140 with the best being tied up in the WBSS

Maybe, but I don't see much enthusiasm from those guys (Davis, Berchelt) to fight Loma...

Be honest there's no one beating a fully fit Loma at 130/35.. I think with Garcia gone, Linares beat & Pedraza beat (touch wood) his best options are at 130.... But I think he wants to unify LW which is a goal he set himself... As I don't think anyone's done it since Sweet pea. Historic division...

Davis has continued to claim he would break Loma since he moved up and i believe before he moved up Berchelt mentioned he wanted to fight Loma. Whether they would actually fight him or not is another thing though

Maybe he should it's not like he's a big lightweight anyway. Maybe he can switch fights between 130 and 135 and after he's done he could move up to 140 by then the wbss should be over.

Lol at thinking Russell, LSC, and Frampton would fight Loma! Especially after moving up in weight. They all avoided El Chacal, and look how easy Loma handled him.

Good point, a lots made of the weight jump Rigo thing but ultimately I still see 2017 Rigo beating most FWs... Loma humiliated him.

Well, I've heard him saying like a thousand times how he is going to break/"kill" Tevin Farmer. Yet I do not expect them to fight each other any time soon somehow...
