This is funny coming from Wilders trainer.. Worry about your own boys wild, sloppy, falling over himself, uncoordinated comedy windmill style of boxing first mark...

It would be a pity to focus on one comment and miss a very interesting interview. This is the Fury quote in full:

Breland is an interesting guy. Knows his stuff.

Not only an accomplished trainer, he won a gold medal in the '84 Olympics so he's probably forgot more about boxing than some of the "experts" on this site currently know.

I also think he has a point. Not that Fury has no skills, that's nonsense, but that he's not actually some superskilled boxer, not in absolute terms. He's more someone who has developed a skilful and awkward style for a very large guy.

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder are two unique fighters.

They are so tall and look so strange doing what they do, but they ARE BOTH extremely effective.

At some points in this fight, I think people are just going to laugh, because it's going to look so odd.

But they are both incredibly dangerous, as well. And I think people will see that too, and appreciate it.

I can understand where Breland is coming from. Mark Breland was one of the best boxer-punchers the U.S. amateur program ever produced. I'm sure he saw Wilder as a taller version of himself, but Wilder just never picked up any of the skills Breland possessed and I'm sure has tried to instill in him.

So Breland has just helped Wilder capitalize on what he does best. Wilder isn't a banger with proper form who throws a lot of shots and then gasses out. Wilder is very patient. Then he explodes. He has very good movement. He uses his size very well.

Fury is nearly seven feet tall and he may end up being the best tall boxer the sport has ever produced. But he's also got a little Naseem Hamed in him. He's awkward as hell. For much of their fight, I think Wlad Klitschko just watched Fury and had no idea how to even start an offensive attack.

It's easy to diss both guys because they don't fit in a proper boxing mold. They are uniquely themselves. And it will always be difficult for anyone to beat them. They just happen to be facing each other this time, so one will certainly lose.

I just hope it's a great fight. It's difficult to predict, because their styles are so peculiar we have no idea how well they will mesh. It could be one of the most entertaining heavyweight fights we've seen forever. Or the opposite.

    I'm hoping it's a great night.

This isn't really true and everyone knows but Breiland no matter how many medals he would win! I hope Breiland was the actual one to trickle this statement down to Wilder and that's why he took the fight...lol

If you notice anything about Wilder in his public vids the trainers both Breland and Deas have to keep reminding Wilder to throw basic punches correctly in the order they want....and the technique they want.

when he does something right they cheer and pat him on the back like a puppy in training...

The truth is Wilder is a hard guy to train a struggle Bc he's not a good intuitive learner and the trainers have progressed Wilder all they can..

One thing is certain Wilder s head has become bigger then his heart which also is a problem, I have a feeling his guys have led him.to believe some things which is why the not so bright Wilder comes off as arrogantly dumb!

He's lucky he has credible sparring partners this time bc MAYBE he can learn off them and he 'll need to to win, Dychko will be invaluable but I am sticking to Fury maybe in a tougher fight now but a win still.

Those remarks tell me Breland is oblivious.

It's actually the only advice he gives Wilder in between rounds which is stay patient and look for your shot bc that's what his corner relies on as the ace card up there sleeve .

Wilder doesn't throw many punches himself bc he throws like a tom girl if he has to keep going or gets in exchanges that's why he's selectively waiting out guys.

The interesting thing here is Wilder won t have the Barclays judges in Dibellas venue...he will actually have to throw punches where he won't be awarded rounds for doing little .

Wilders safety net won t be there and will put more urgency in him to actually land punches the longer the fight goes bc a knockout isn't a guarantee in boxing .

Thank you. That's almost exactly it. When you see someone like Usyk and his skill set beating bigger HWs, and then you look at Fury, who was comfortably outboxed by Cunningham. All this talk about being a far superior boxer is just nonsense. We get it he beat Wlad, and he made Wlad look foolish we can't take that away from him. In that fight he threw very little combinations and was happy to jab to the body and then move. Ok it got him the win but he isn't this boxing phenom that people make him out to be.

Saying all that, Fury will probably go for the same strategy against Wilder that he used on Wlad. Will Wilder have the answers. If Fury can beat Wlad with that game plan, he might not need to throw combos at Wilder.

Oh the irony, Wilder has no basics at all he is just athletic, tough and can bang really. He swings wide and his footwork is shocking always seems off balance.
