There will be legal action taken against this decision which was a pretty transparent belt grab by Andrade's team. There has never been a ban like this imposed like this for the nasal spray, and this is breaking all previous precedents set. This could end up costing the corrupt crew a significant wedge. But Andrade meanwhile has his ill gotten gains to make money from.
When he comes back he will be the lineal wbo middleweight champion, which for some counts higher as being the actual beltholder. Looking at it like that he just got handed a free upgrade.
Difficult to calculate just how damaging this has been but in addition to the 2.3m usd purse he lost, BJS would, in my view at least, have probably beaten Andrade at which point he would be right in the mix for some very big fights indeed. Now what happens? Does he not fight till the legal case is heard? Does he try and gain a rating with another body or will the WBO help him and Warren to get a crack at the title? He did step down and maybe saved them some bad press in the process?
What nasal spray? Did they even confirm the supposed nasal spray? I don't see how legally they have a leg to stand on. They signed a contract for VADA testing and failed to adhere to VADA rules.
He will have a hard time getting any of the belts now seeing as he clearly won’t want to fight under vada rules witch will be enforced in America.
The lawsuit will likely be aimed towards MSAC and the case will be based on whether they followed their own procedures when they refused BJS a license.
