I'd like to see Joshua complete the task of unifying the division. That would be a great story and more important there's no one more deserving of being the guy to complete the task. There is no deserving in boxing beyond what's achieved in the ring, but he's done everything the right way, stayed disciplined, took some calculated risks in the opponents he's sought out and so I'd sooner he was the one to add the final title rather than Fury, or more likely Wilder coming in at the last and taking the lot. Fury is a great talent but has dragged the sport through the gutter, Wilder's career resume is the epitome of cynical cherry picking which blights the sport. So for all AJ's manufactured image or stiff style, **** those guys. Once undisputed is done it's all about Usyk. Can he do it?
Usyk is great for the sport. Doesn’t have a disgusting criminal past. Doesn’t make vile comments to Eddie Chambers in DM’s. Carries himself in a respectful and humble fashion. He’s making the HW division GREAT again.
Emphasis on "want..." Parker, Povetkin, Jennings If I am picking a Brit, give me Chisora among the top options. Obviously first off it would be guys like Diablo and Huck on the up but being realistic...
I humbly suggest that you should have allowed multiple votes. Joshua or Fury would be fine with me, as would Usyk or Hrgovic later down the road. I like Joyce too in terms of personality and fun fighting style, but don't see it happening. Really anyone one earns it, but from my perspective, Wilder is a fraud, Yoko is already having PEDS problems, and Dubois has no talent to speak of whatsoever.
Usyk but I think he is too small. I would also like to see Luis Ortiz fighting for a belt again. Fury beating Wilder would be fun too but I think Wilder will stop him easily
Really anyone wanting Wilder as champion must be hoping for a stagnate division bc wilder WILL fight lesser relevant fights if he can getaway with it ,theres not even a debating that between Wilder himself and how his team operates. Fury wont represent the sport that well either and not be committed to fight everyone,he will say how everyone are bums and how fat out of shape guys can win? Who the hell wants that really? lol It don't really matter you know what they say wish for something in one hand but you get something else in the other....... Joshua the man and will be for a minute until 2022 where the real threat surfaces.
That's all very true. AJ "deserves" it more. And I'd be perfectly happy with him coming out on top. I just like him a little less than the other two, who as you note dragged the division through the gutter and have been guilty of cherry picking, respectively. Partly style type preferences; Wilder is more exciting, Fury more dynamic and interesting stylistically as a modern day throwback to Ali in his size and movement combo. Partly I just like underdogs and dislike conventional wisdom. AJ is currently the favorite (deserved), but conventional wisdom has blown that into a higher level than warranted imo. Both factors have me hoping a bit for an eventual upset. But I'll give him every credit if he wins, and I probably rate him higher in most respects than some of the people hoping he comes out on top.
