Burnett is not as strong and doesn't hit as hard as Carl. I could see this being a tough night for Ryan.
There is no chance Donaire can out box Burnett. So Donaire will have to stop Burnett. I've never seen Ryan hurt, I know it's possible he can be hurt but I don't see, this past prime, Donaire doing it. This could be a tough night for Donaire. This is a chance for Ryan to let the casuals and non believers know what he is about. Donaire is a platform fight.
In other news Andy Lee was on the late are show last night. People might remember him. He was a decent domestic level boxer in his day. Very nice guy Andy...that is clear. It was a great 'performance ' by Andy in that he obviously has received "media training '. The host gave him an easy ride and Andy came across very well. . .But I fear he will turn into a bit of a "grey man in a grey suit" as he obviously aims fit in with the establishment in order to to have a post boxing media career....best of luck to you Andy .. . Domestic level? I would like to say Andy Lee at the lower end of fringe world level if you look at the fights he was in. Anyways good luck to him post boxing.
He was better than domestic easily, especially the Irish domestic scene. He was world level, a bit weak at the level but scrapes by imo
So anyway, back to tonight.. How do you lot on here see Burnett doing. He probably wins on points for me, but it could be a tough job. Nonito looks up for it and Ryan might get bashed up before...hopefully... . his hand is raised .. .
Awful luck. Let's hope it's only a soft tissue injury, not spinal.... Bloody hell. He was boxing brilliantly... .
I'd say he was injured going in. Likely he aggravated an existing injury. They didn't appear shocked or surprised in the corner. Plus there were rumors of a pull out recently. .....mightve been a reference to Ryan being injured .. ..
Any word on the injury? What a dose! I only hope it isn't career-threatening...cos if it's hip or spine it could well be... .As Irish boxing said and they aren't wrong it was a "disaster".
Well OK, I like nonito. .a Lot, but for balance we have to say he wasn't slow to attack an injured man when Burnett was helpless in the corner.... Raining punches on him.... Just saying .....
I get your point but I honestly think that's on the ref mate. Unless and until someone tells him different I think a boxer has to treat his opponent as a threat to be taken out.
