At Donaire’s age and coming down 2 weights I can only see one victor here. Don’t get me wrong I think this will be Burnett’s hardest test to date and will probably be close until 6/7th then Burnett will accelerate away, maybe even a retirement late on by Donaire.
History tells us that tonight things will not end well for Donaire. You do get exceptions but they are the minority. Most likely a Burnett win on points, if he gets brave and goes toe to toe though he will very likely regret it. A disciplined performance should see him take the win here.
Corning down two weigh divisions at his age will be hard and I don’t think he will have anything left in the tank and I think Burnett closing the show inside 6 donaire will be a shadow of his former self and it will be shame to watch
Donnaire has a chance here. Burnett is not as strong as frampton and monitoring did well against Carl. But all logic says the younger fresher man takes this, likely on points. Not an easy win though.. ..burnett will have to earn it tonight.
I agree Burnett is not as strong as Frampton but the Donaire who fights Burnett will be nowhere near as strong as the Donaire who fought Frampton.
I think Donaire will be really weak at the weight especially after the first few rounds. Burnett is not a big puncher but i see him stopping Donaire st some stage as I think an accumulation of body shots will catch up on him.
What did Donaire look like at the weigh in? If he can make the weight well then Burnett is in for a nightmare
