Was Lennox Lewis a harder puncher than Ken Norton was?

There is a thread where forum users are replying in who they considered boring KO artists and someone named Norton, but I`ve never been sure as to how hard a puncher Norton was, and I replied that Lennox Lewis could be on the list because he punched harder than Norton, but how hard did Lewis really hit/ LL`s trainer Steward said Wlad hit harder, he even said featherweight puncher Naseem Hamed punched harder than Lewis! So where would you place these guys on a list of the hardest punching heavyweights of all time?

 

I'd say Lewis hits appreciably harder than Norton.Top ten heavyweight puncher imo. Norton not top 30.

Hamed is one of the hardest punching featherweights of all time.

 

Norton hit hard but Lewis definitely hit harder. Norton's big claim to fame was breaking Ali's jaw, which gave him the nickname "Jawbreaker", when fiting future opponents.

One of the great blindsiding combo's. That right was on the way as soon as the left started retracting. Lewis had looked for this exact result prior. It was an obvious plan and brilliantly executed.

 

Lewis had wayyyy More power in his punches than Norton .Kenny wasn't a feather fist ,he broke Alis jaw after all but compared to Lennox he was just average. And yes ,Hamed was a monster puncher but at his fighting weight ,if he'd been a heavy he'd have being in the same league asLenny ,Louis and Foreman .

When I think of the men I’d least want to get punched full force by Lewis comes to mind almost immediately. He hit far harder than Norton.

Lewis was a far stronger puncher than Norton who was a strong shaped muscular man but not a puncher, Norton was good vs the type that he backed up, like Ali,Holmes and Young but as soon as he fought someone with real power that came to him it was over. Ken could not fight backing up. Lewis was a very good puncher & have good movement for a big man much like Vlad but recovery was not really a strength for either man
