Nonito was up on the cards and looking good. Tagging Burnett at will and landing more telling punches. I think he would have won anyway. Good on him.

That's not how you should win a fight. NO contest?

Its not the spine. If it was he wouldn't be there. They'd have him on a stretcher to the hospital. Its a pulled muscle.

What a freaky flukey way to go out, especially smack dab in the middle of your prime, undefeated, the whole nine yards. Rough break.

To be fair I had him 2-1 up after 3 and I thought he waa edging the 4th. Burnett wasn't throwing enough, wonder if plan was to up the tempo in the second half of the fight, let Donaire expend energy.

Can't hold this even slightly against Nonito. He's always fought the best out there and even at this late stage a tourney like this for him is insane.

I feel Burnett was well on his way to victory, but as it stands now his career could be over.

hahaha, what fight where you watching dude? nonito was connecting his left cross at will. And cornering burnett whenever he wanted and unloading with power everytime he wanted after cornering. It was a matter of time until burnett was koed.

Well donaire did do something and he did slip that shot causing burrnett to over extend on that right hand which is what most likely caused the injury.
