I don’t follow your take on Postal though, guy only ever lost to Crawford who shut him down and against Taylor he looked far from shot.
Is this the Mayweather effect where if someone takes a loss they’re on the scrap heap cause that always BS anyway.

You can tell from his interviews that he basically thinks his job is to prepare them almost as if his job is done by the time they get in the ring.....very odd.

Well yes obviously a trainer works with what the fighter has, but in the case for Abel it's been common for his fighters being unable to adapt to their opponents' tactics. For example like Usyk vs Gassiev, Canelo vs GGG 2 and now this fight.

Funny you mention that, the fact all the lads room together etc... I accept banter etc, but the footage did show a real relaxed quite laid back environment

Yeah I admit off the Postol performance there's questions about how complete Taylor really is and how he handles elite technical boxers. I thought Martin could box from distance at least well enough to give him some problems and take him 12. But Prograis isn't quite the style to bring out any weaknesses and I think Taylor should be favoured. Prograis likes guys to come straight to him to counter with speed and power, but hasn't himself been in with a fast skilled boxer who won't cooperate. He can be jabbed, and add Taylor's speed, movement, and body punching to the outboxing ability, well that's a damn hard fighter to beat.

Ramirez is a notch below both Taylor and Prograis. Even if someone likes Ramirez the wbss winner of course deserves to be called the man of the division, and it's Ramirez who will need that guy.

Postol got a gift in the fight after Crawford. I'm guessing u missed that one. Dude got absolutely dominated by Crawford in a one sided fight then got badly huer in his next. Dude had no moment um and was also 34.

Yes I did miss that one.i did think Postal was too soon for Taylor regardless as we need to remember he’s very inexperienced albeit very hyped.

I recall talk of a gift decision sandwiched between Crawford and Taylor.

I agree, Postol did lose to the fighter after the one with Crawford, but in Taylor's defense, like with Canelo-GGG, Taylor fought Postol's fight, and still won. Najmiddinov and Crawford both beat him by hauling ass the majority of the fight and landing counters, Taylor took the fight to him and put himself in the danger zone and right in the wheelhouse of the counter punching Postol.

So with Prograis and Taylor going respectively the WBA & IBF routes. I presume they will be removed from the WBC rankings. So perhaps Postol can get a crack at Ramirez in 2019.

Which is why Taylor has people buzzing as he is exciting, could take a loss fighting that way of course but so what I’d rather that than him go 25/0 fighting cans.
