Taylor has some balls standing in at times while not being a big puncher. He best be on his toes against Prograis.

Thinking about chasing my over loss with a big Berchelt-Roman over 9.5 rounds wager. If Roman's getting dominated he doesn't mentally submit like Martin, and his chin and toughness keeps him trucking, right?

Foot speed? Prograis won't be at a handspeed deficit. He is a bit flat footed though. We'll revisit this next year barring any upsets.

Like I've said before, once you get these American Level fighters out of their comfort zone on foreign soil and on a playing field that isn't weighted in their favour where they don't have their obligatory home refs to allow them to fight to their own set of rules they'll fold mentally. Not all of them mind. I mean some of them are grade A warriors like us Brits and they can hang at Brit Level or at least just below it if not quite that.

Martin seems like a lovely chap and I can't help but feel sorry for him. However, JT is the most complete and most skilful fighter in all of Britain and he's an absolute joy to watch. Truth be told, Martin just couldn't deal with JT's Scottish slickness, speed, angles, movement and just all round boxing ability and I don't think JT sticking it on him at the weigh in giving him the dreaded Scottish Stare helped matters either. I've met many a Scottish psycho in my time and although I personally have never been or ever could be in the least bit intimated by another man, I can definitely understand how lesser men than myself could be when you've got someone staring deep into your soul with those cold, emotionless Scottish shark eyes.

Stoppage was bad but Martin was looking for a way out.

Exactly. Taylor can be too confident with his speed and body punching. But Prograis's the better defender inside and the harder puncher. Taylor's better at more distances than Prograis, but he'll give Prograis too many chances if he goes after him inside. If Taylor doesn't stay away Prograis will win the countering battle.

Even Abel said in that pre-fight promo video that he had yet to see any spite in Martin so in hindsight it’s not a shocker that the guy froze during the fight.

Taylor has 100% the right mentality. Against both Davies and Martin, as soon as his opponent turned their back he came in to land some more blows. That’s the spite you need to succeed. When Taylor eventually boxes in America at world level, I’m sure he will not freeze.

 To be fair to Martin, there's isn't another 140 pounder born from their mother that beats JT when he's firing on all cylinders

He's been stopped twice I think. Look at who stopped him last, and whether you think Berchelt is a more powerful and skilled guy. Roman is also older now.

Prograis would disagree, as do I.

    Ryan Burnett vs. Nonito Donaire.

    Round 1 - Donaire 10-9
    Round 2 - Burnett 10-9
    Round 3 - Burnett 10-9
    Round 4 - Donaire RTD

What a damn shame it ended in such a way, this was turning into a real good fight. You gotta feel gutted for Burnett in losing such a fashion. I just hope that his back injury isn't serious and doesn't end his career.

Werewolves aren't human and therefore he couldn't be a man. That said, JT isn't human either and he's got a whole chamber of silver bullets that he's going to be bringing with him. Be a great fight though.

Me too. Hopefully they both win their next fights (which I think they will) and they meet in the final. I think it'll be the best WBSS final yet.
