From 13;15 This content is protected "He caught me with it as i prepare for a counter I duck back on the waistline" Burnett looked like he was just retreating in round 4 and his right straight wasn't as devastating.
Unsure if the rules allow posting so early following an event, but cheers for the link as I missed the fight!!
When he went down the first one. You can also see him hold his hip first. Then he moves his glove to the back. Which is it Back or hip?
https://i.imgur.com/BniE7p6.gif There soms rumors saying this is the catalyst and the rest was disaster waiting to strike.
I’ve pulled muscles in my back 2 times, no lie first time I thought something was wrong with my kidney haha, but when I went doctor they said to me it’s due to the fact the muscle wraps around the side of the body as well so maybe that’s why he was holding to different areas?
I have no idea why Foster put a count on him. For a count to be applied there needs to be a kd. He should have given him 5 and got the doctor to check him out although the result probably would have been the same.
This is the type of situation which separates the genuine top notch refs from the ones who should be limited to 6 rounders. Groenewald recently came out and exposed what happened in his fight with Froch. Foster was in on it and who knows how much he made on that deal. I don't know why it took so long for him to expose Froch and Foster for match fixing but both should have been banned for life. It's not too late for the BBBC to investigate but maybe they were in on it as well. If a sport controlling body cannot be trusted to expose cheating it should be handed over to the police fraud squad.
Playing devil's advocate here, but when a fighter takes a knee the ref gives a count. So is the referee in this instance looking at it as Burnett has effectively took a knee?
I agree completely with the sentiment, however having watched Groenewald's account of it.. it does not make any sense. So a random nameless guy comes to see Groenewald to 'get a glove signed' after having called him (how did he have his number?), and then tells him he is going to lose in a certain round. Why? Why would any of that happen.. it makes absolutely no sense! Think about each step in that story, it does not add up. Personally I think it is pure bull****.
You have to be hit with something to be knocked down. Burnett went down because he pulled a muscle whilst attacking his opponent and throwing a punch. That's an accidental injury and the no foul rule should have been applied.
