    early 80s fight i always remember

    kirkland laing v colin jones for the british welterweight title i think it was
    might have been european as well

    kirland laing herky jerky but skillfull fighter
    coling jones face first plodder with huge power in both hands

    laing boxed his jones head off every round but jones was very hard to discourage and walked forward willing to take laings shots in the hope of landing a bomb

    8 or 9 nil down on the cards jones landed a huge right hand when laing was in the middle of tattooing him which led to the ref stopping the fight and jones the winner

    Wilder Ortiz isn't necessarily a good example since Wilder scored a knockdown at the end of the 5th round

    Hearns vs. Barkley 1... Tommy was headed for a TKO between rounds 3 and 4 or a 4th round TKO and he was hit with a nice right.

    Do fights where a p4p fighter was kicking ass until he got DQ'd count? Roy Jones vs Montel Griffin or Terry Norris vs Luis Sanatan 1 & 2 come to mind.

    Haha Despite the lyrics to Ya'll Musta Forgot where RJJ said he was putting a whoppin on Montell Griffin, the fight was about even on the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

    Can't use Garcias v Khan, Khan won the first two of a third round fight, was down in round three and lost that one 10-8 before being KOd in the fourth.
