Alcoholic ? I'm not saying you're wrong but would you be good enough to give credibility to that statement ?

I read somewhere that Ali took the FOTC so soon , because his trial was upcoming or appeal or something and they thought he would go to jail, so took the fight whilst they could...as it turned out the case against him was dropped. Had they know this he wouldn't have rushed the Frazier fight. I'm not 100% sure this is true but I've read it in a few places and it kinda makes sense..

I have to say , whilst I'm infamous for stating that Foreman is overrated ( I always stress the word overrated, not to be confused with poor/ no good/ useless/...just overrated " dictionary definition...Not as good as some think" which was later clearly substantiated by Messrs Ali / Lyle and Young/ )
Notwithstanding that I think with the exception of Mr Joshua that list is silly.
Although as an addendum I do think Mr Joyce is gonna surprise a few people..the man has a solid technique is fit and strong and I have a feeling he's very durable...
    I digress...

I disagree that many of today's cruiserweights are the same as the guys he was fighting. Most of the guys Foreman fought had to train down to be at 210-215. Frazier had to do 6 miles of road work to show up at 203-205 lbs. When Frazier stopped the road work his weight ballooned up.

Also, Joe Joyce is pretty much the same size as big George, but doesn't have big George's skill level, ring experience, or punching power.

Joe Joyce is listed at 6'6", but is 6'4".

He is 108kg (17 stone) and 193cm (6foot4) tall. He is a world-class super-heavyweight boxer. He recently won a silver medal at the Rio Olympics. Yet what makes Joe Joycefrom the United Kingdom so remarkable has nothing to do with his size or boxing ability. In fact, it’s probably the last thing you might automatically attribute to a world-class heavyweight boxer.

Joe Joyce, it seems, is also a master of the dance floor.

Dubois and Hrgovic have impressed me from what I have seen so far. I think they have the potential to achieve a lot.

Joyce has fought no one to show he is world class and,at 32 time is not on his side, he has a good engine, and fair power ,but his defence is suspect and he is not quick.

    He is one to watch.

If a couple of key variables check out, then he is a future champion.

I prefer him to Joyce, and he has time on his side.Gorman is perhaps the best boxer of the UK new lads, but his conditioning and power aren't top notch.

This. Even Holmes, who hated Foreman admitted that standing still in front of Foreman was suicide, but with effective movement and good timing that Foreman was very beatable.

I don't think he loses his Wrecking Crew credibility by virtue of his performance against Ron Lyle after losing to Muhammad Ali in the devastating fashion followed by a solid year of inactivity. The fact that he he prevailed in the manner that he did given his opponent and the history enhances his reputation.

Oh Lord, I've tried so hard for this thread not to be sidetracked by the Foreman fan boys.
I'm gonna have a standard answer from here on in for the 'George was a one man whirlwind club'..
    Simply said..
    "List his top class wins"....
    It won't take you long.
